Agent Riot: H-004
-Entry Log # 44-Olivia and I have been working non-stop ever since SCP-805 was contained and Seth was eliminated. Of course, the O5 council was not happy with his 'execution'. Yes, they are calling it that but after I explained his disloyalty and his harbouring of an SCP, they seemed to not care anymore. However... something felt strange in that meeting... I can't say for sure now but it almost seemed like they were prepared for a fight. Not like fighting against Chaos but fighting against me... Something is going on...
Anyways... I just thought I should share that with you. After all, you are supposed to know all my worries and troubles. Nevermind... I'm just talking to digital dairy. Now where was I? Olivia and I worked none stop, driving to places, investigating them, and then bringing back any SCP we found. Now our missions have taken us to a swamp... I don't know why the foundation believes there is something here but they do. We were sent specifically to a village in the heart of (insert swamp here) where the locals rarely visit the outside world but when they do they tell stories of a monster constantly watching them. Sometimes people go missing when they leave the village and never return.
-Flashback-
Four Days of driving and three walking through the thick, dense jungles in Brazil. All this for a rumor from a village rarely visited by outsiders. How the foundation hears about these rumors is a mystery to me and my partner. Speaking of which, Olivia is not having a good time in this jungle. She is constantly swatting bugs away, even though she has a full armoured suit on, and checking every direction when she hears something. Even if it's just a simple bird chirping or a howling monkey. And finally, during every night so far, she will sleep next to me as close as possible. Even daring to carefully snuggle with me before waking to the smallest of noises. As for me. I can't care less. My only concern is that we are lost in this jungle but as luck will have it we see the village down the path.
Olivia: "Oh thank God! We finally found it!"
Before I can say anything, Olivia rushes to the village. A somewhat safe haven from the jungle. It almost made me laugh at her desperation to be near anything man-made.
However, a snapping of a twig drew my attention to the jungle. The leaves of the trees and dense bushes remain motionless as I scan the direction of the snap. Nothing... until I spot two amphibian eyes staring at me. They have pure white pupils with a bronze outline.
Slowly but surely I pull out my pistol and ready it, aiming a couple of inches below the eyes. Roughly where I think the chest of the creature is. A finger is on the trigger... ready. One small tug, not enough to fire, and the eyes disappear. I take a few seconds to listen and the sound of rustling leaving and the snapping of twigs grew softer and softer. Eventually, there is nothing but the quiet buzzing of the jungle. With the small experience done I catch up with Olivia at the village who was talking to an elderly man. Even though I am late I can tell Olivia is trying her best to get us places to sleep and information on our current prey.
Olivia: "So it is dangerous?"
The old man nods and stares at me with his wisdom-filled silver eyes. It feels like he can see right through my helmet and into my soul. Then he points to me and says.
Elder: "Friend... seen... Aë."
He speaks in broken English but it's more surprising that he can speak English at all. After all, it looks like he has never left the village. Moving past that I take notice of the name he mentions. Aë, that has to be the name of our prey.
Olivia takes one look at me and says to the man.
