Date

Another day, another rejected offer to go on a date.

But actually not this time, surprisingly.

Minjoo actually can't believe her luck! She doesn't need to deliver some lousy pick-up line this time and Hitomi just said yes without any complaints!

But there is one thing missing. Something vital...

"Hitomi..."

"Un?" Hitomi turns her head swiftly to her, eyeing her so cutely. "You were saying something, Minmin?"

Minjoo opens her mouth to say something, but no words succeeded to roll down her tongue no matter how hard she tries. Maybe it's because how natural it feels for Hitomi to suddenly latch their hands together, or Hitomi just casually leaning to her like this.

That something vital.

"Lacking some pick-up lines?"

Minjoo grins. "Well, you're just too amazing that I forgot my pick-up line!"

And Minjoo likes it when they are on a date like this. Hitomi won't be such a tsundere and won't reject her affection aggressively. Hitomi will very gladly revert to her hopeless romantic self whenever there are only two of them, accepting every cheesy and sweet nothings Minjoo delivers her smoothly with reactions so delightful Minjoo only craves for more and more.

A perfect example is this: how Hitomi only drawls out her name and does nothing else but only pulls her closer to her with a very embarrassed but happy expression.

"Minjoo..."

Minjoo only laughs, tugging on their joined hands as they travel deeper inside the mall. "Come on."

And Hitomi easily obliges, letting the older woman lead her.

They walk around the mall, window-shopping and just talking along the way about everything.

Until Minjoo is suddenly standing rooted on the spot, her gaze falling to their intertwined fingers.

Hitomi frowns at that, worriedly prodding the older woman if there is something wrong?

There isn't anything wrong, because a smile suddenly blossoms on Minjoo's lips.

"No," she replies with a shaking head. She gently squeezes Hitomi's hands a little tighter, but not to the point it's hurtful. Just enough to make Hitomi feel warm and protected.

"It's just... I think the gaps between my fingers were always meant for yours."

The older laughs good-naturedly. "And for that, I offer you a lending hand so you can be the perfect woman," she takes a moment to observe Hitomi's reaction before going in for the kill, "I'll give you a kiss. And if you don't like it, you can always return it."
