I woke up after...centuries? It must've been long and my head was really not giving me a good time.
I couldn't even think straight due to the immense pain I felt. I took some time to register my surroundings and all of it was just unbelievable.
The room was all white with minimal black butterfly patterns.
There I lay on a California king sized bed that was well spread in pure white sheets. To some extent the sight was blinding. I was never used to so much brightness and it was just as disturbing.
This was totally an unfamiliar place and one thing was sure...I had been kidnapped. I thought of my parents for a while, the sorrow and pain that would be written on their faces once they found out I was missing. I couldn't let them go through that. I had to rescue myself as soon as possible.
I looked around for anything that could help but to my utter surprise, there was nothing. The room was literally empty so I couldn't even get a clue on where I was. There was no opening,no window, apart from the ventilator that was just slightly below the roof. I couldn't even figure out whether there was a door or not.
This was quite wierd. The lights were on and I found that questioning as well.
Just as I was in my thoughts, there was a creak. I turned my head and there came to view a young man in leather clothes that were covered with gems all over.Oh!so there was a way out after all...His attire was really something I hadn't seen before. It must've been expensive or so I thought. I stared at him questioningly as I took my time to study him.
His lips were pursed to a thin line and it seemed as if he had anticipated to meet me. His eyes were a deep jungle green and full of life. He seemed happy at the moment and I could bet that it was just his nature to wear a bright face.
His dark hair was neatly to the back and that only suited him perfectly. Something seemed off,if he seemed like a nice person then why was I here..??
Maybe he was working for someone who was more cruel and was forcing him to hold me hostage. Maybe..."Hello princess, welcome home,"he was indeed polite, but he wasn't getting his way by just giving me a sweet name.
"Where am I?"I almost raised my voice but I tried to contain myself.
"Won't you even say hi before asking questions?"he really had the guts now.
"Give me one reason as to why I should respond to your greeting yet you have me here without my consent!"
"I guess we've not laid a finger on you, unlike what other people could've done. We've been nice to you and even let you take a nap,"I could hear the sarcasm in his tone as much as he was right.
"That's not reason enough..."
"I'm Mark..."he came forward and stretched a hand that I declined to shake.
"I never asked you to introduce yourself,"I tried to point out calmly.
"Ouch!"he pulled back his hand.
"I would really like it if you gave me an easy time to show you around before we're out of time,"he looked at his watch and frowned a little before his attention was back to me.
"It's already 4:00 o'clock and we only have two hours before I take you back,"
So he would take me back home..? This was strange but a part of me wanted to wander around and atleast have a glimpse of wherever I was."Shall we..??"he stretched out his arm and I found myself taking it, agreeing to his plan.
Once we were out of the room I noticed that we were actually in a large building, four storeys high.
We came across some people on our way and the only thing we got from them was awkward stares.
"Why is every one giving us these awkward stares?"I was a bit curious.
"There have been rumours of you coming home lately and everyone has wanted nothing but see what you looked like,"he gave a slight chuckle. I was in total confusion as I couldn't figure out what he was talking about.
"What do you mean me coming home..??"
"Worry less about that, you'll come at peace with everything soon enough. For now we've got a lot of catching up to do."
He was really scaring me and I couldn't show it. I was wise enough to know that you should be bolt especially around strangers. it took me some time time to notice that everyone around had the same attire.
They all wore leather but each with different gem patterns.
I assumed that the people working in the building wore that to be uniform but I was proven wrong when we were actually out of the entire building.
I was perplexed to see that actually everyone walking around followed suit.
All buildings were also made of glass from the outside.
"Does everyone here dress in these leather costumes? I mean, what is this place, where are you we..??"I couldn't be more curious.
"These are not costumes,"he laughed before he continued,
"They're just clothes like the ones you've won, and this is just home,"he outstretched his hands to make his point clearer.
"It's just that I've never seen or been to a place like this before,"
He smiled then gave his response,
"Welcome to Jupiter,my princess..."I am really sorry for the late updates, been caught up for a while.
