Y/n stood from where she was sitting on top of a crafting table and walked to the front of the room.

Shit.

I mean, sure, she told me that she had an important job, but how was I supposed to know that she's the fucking war general? Instantly I remembered what I had said to her. God, she's probably so mad. My face flushed while I relived my insults and passive aggressive comments. But why was I so rude? Like, I was completely fine with her before, she was so nice and helpful! But when I saw how at ease she was with this whole situation... god, I'm such an idiot. I mentally slapped myself and made up my mind. As soon as this meeting was over, I would apologize.

Meanwhile, y/n was writing down her vote on a piece of paper, looking back and forth between me and Tubbo. She made her decision and dropped her vote in the ballot box. She began to make her way back to the crafting table she had sat on previously, but seemed to change her mind. Instead, she plopped her ass right down next to me.

Shit. Again.

Y/n glanced at me, almost waiting for me to say something. She was smirking slightly, looking amused at my inner turmoil. I'm sure she was having a great time seeing me regret my toxic words toward her. However, I couldn't come up with anything to say.

My silence created tension in the air, and it condensed to be so thick that I felt like I could barely move.

Beside me, y/n looked like she enjoyed watching me squirm.

I finally broke the silence.

"Hey, can I talk to you after the meeting? Outside?"

Her smirk shifted, and suddenly y/n was smiling at me.

"Sure, Tommy."

The meeting went by in a flash, and before I knew it, it was time for me to talk with y/n.

She was waiting for me next to a cliff of sorts, that was fenced off to avoid someone slipping and dying. Her hair swished as she turned to look at me approaching, and my hands instantly became clammy.

"Hey, I just wanted to apoligize to you for what I said to you earlier. I was being a dipshit, and I feel really bad. I guess I was frustrated about not knowing anything, and seeing you act so knowledgeable and in your element, I guess I got jealous and took it out on you. I'm sorry."

Y/n nodded, looking satisfied.

"Thanks for apologizing. Honestly, I'm relieved. I was worried I'd have to work with a complete asshole. Which, now that I think about it, I guess I still am."

I laughed, glad we were already good enough friends to roast each other. Then another thought occurred.

"Hey, y/n? uhh, where will I sleep and set my respawn point? The sun's setting, and I don't exactly have anywhere to go."

Y/n didn't look concerned that I was pretty much homeless.

"That's fine, you can stay at my place for the night. I have an extra bed. But you should probably start building your base tomorrow." she replied, smiling.

"Oh, okay, thanks. Where's Tubbo staying?" I asked as she began leading me to where I supposed her base was.

Y/n blushed at the mention of Tubbo's name. Hmm, interesting, I thought, smiling as I realized I had teasing material on two of my friends. I made another mental note to give her hell about this tomorrow, along with Tubbo.

We arrived at a seashore, and an oak path leading out over the water. She beckoned me to follow her, and I began walking behind her out into the ocean. Soon enough, we had arrived at what looked like a small circular structure. It looked like it had a quartz or white concrete outline, with completely glass walls. Huh, I thought, pretty small.
