Narrator's POVTony looked up and over to the love of his life, who's eyes were dimmed and body was still. His heart ached. He held back his incoming tears. "Come on Tony! Do it for Peter. For Peter!" He thought.
To his left, Sherlock was looking around the room. He had his gun cocked and ready to fire at any given moment.
"Hey, I think I found another opening," Sherlock said as he neared a door.
Tony got up and walked towards him putting his nano tech helmet back over his face. They approached the door calmly, and carefully slid it open.
His mind and heart racing from previous incidents. He just couldn't. He just couldn't wrap his mind around everything that has happened to him on this supposed 'vacation'. Now it just seemed like a nightmare rather than a vacation.
He just had to centralize his thoughts on Peter, Flash, and Sherlock's family. They're about to get married for Christ's sake. Tony was also planning on proposing to Stephen on this vacation, but know it had to stay in his dreams. His dreams and maybe even nightmares are the only places he would be able to see his love's beautiful face again.
All that time they spent together. Them against the rest of the world (hehe cross reference). They pushed through all their hardships, but look where it got them. Tony was left once again, heartbroken.
Many people didn't think that Tony Stark had a heart anymore. Especially after Afghanistan and his constant nights drinking himself to death, and pushing himself in miles deep of work. It was his coping mechanism.
But then along came a wizard. A wizard who he dearly adored. Not only was he a wizard but a beautiful man with a beautiful heart and soul and life long goal to help others.
And now... he's no more.
Tony's thoughts got interrupted him Sherlock pushing all his weight into the door, and successfully opening it.
Tony started his boosters and cautiously flew around the giant room. There were many train cars scattered amongst the room, where the two would eventually face their doom. (I hate this sentence).
"John?" Sherlock calles out. "Rosie? Honey?"
"Mmm, p-papa?" Came a quiet and weary voice.
Sherlock's eyes lit up with determination and hope. "Rosie," he sighed. "Rosie?!" He then yelled scrambling to find the source of her voice.
"You check over there, I'll get over here," Tony said as he flew to a corner of cars.
He landed in what seemed to be a small area in a circle of train cars, with the word's 'Sweet Revenge' writing in....blood?
Blood! Oh no Peter! Flash?! John?! Rosie?! It could be anyone of them. Oh god. Please don't be blood. Please don't be blood. Tony repeated in his head.
In the distance he heard a cry of relief.
"Oh, honey! You're okay!," sniff "I though I lost you," Sherlock sobbed as he cling onto John for dear life.
"S-Sherlock?"
"Shh, yes it's me. You're okay. You're safe," the detective responded holding his dear blogger his his arms. "Where's Rosie?!"
