Shaky Breaths

Narrator's POV

"H-hh..how, is t-this possible?" Tony tried to breath while staring at the cut and torn face of his sister

"Oh my god. Tony I can't exhaust how bad I feel right now," Stephen said

"N-no. You're ok. I shot her too. I just can't believe she's alive. After all this time," Tony said bewildered

Just then Steve came busting in the door, "guys! You will not believe this. It was Bucky all along," He said out of breath

"Trust me. I can believe you. Look who we found also," Stephen said

Steve a look of confusion on his face as he walked towards the body, "is, that-that"

"Kayla," Tony whispered

"This is weird," Steve said. "I'm going back to Bucky,"

"I'm so confused. We need to get Loki," Tony said

"I'll get him. Stay here in case she wakes up," Stephen said

"Will do," Tony replied

He stared at her. He stared at the lifeless expression on her face. Her damaged, bruised and cut face. Bruises and cuts were everywhere; on her back, shoulders, arms. It was a hard sight to see.

"Get off me!" She screamed as she shot up, wildly breathing

"Hey-hey. You're okay. You're safe," Tony gently said with his arms out

"Who are. Where am I?" She frantically asked, but with no accent

Tony seemed a bit hurt, she didn't remember him. But it has been over 20 years. And some bastards did this to her.

"I'm Tony. You're in my medical facility. You're name is Kayla right?" He asked calmly

"Y-yeah. How did you know that?" She asked

"It's me Tony, your brother. Remember you used to call me Tony bologna all the time," he smiled as he got closer to her

"Tony?! Is it really you. Oh god! I've missed you!" She cried

"Yeah it's me. I've missed you so much too!" He silently giggled as he pulled her into a delicate hug

"Where is she?!" Came Loki's frantic voice

Once he noticed her, his breath became shakier as tears started streaming down his face. He finally ran over to her and embraced her.

"Ow! God! Please not too hard," she exclaimed clutching her chest

"I'm so sorry! What the heavens did they do to you!?!" Loki asked

She went silent. Tears started streaming down her face.

"Hey, Hey It's ok, shh. You're safe now," Loki calmed her as he put their two foreheads together.

"I missed you," she lightly whispered

"I can't express how sorry I'am," Loki said embracing her again, but making sure he was careful this time.

"No, it's ok," she replied

"Guys, I think we should give her some space, and let her rest, she's been through a lot today

"Thank you for saving me," she said hugging Tony lightly

"You're my sister, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you. Now get some rest," Tony said leaving the medbay as Stephen gave her some pain killers

They all left and went to go tell the rest of the team of the crazy day they had.
