Peeking my head into the training room, my eyes scanned for the familiar face I was looking for. I beamed when I saw him munching onto a packet of honey butter chips at a corner, and zoomed right towards him, catching him off guard by my sudden presence.
"H-hyung?" Jungkook stuttered with his eyes wide and mouth slightly ajar. "What are you doing here?"
"Hi Kook. I have an important question for you and I'm hoping that you know the answer for it." I stated out loud. Swallowing his food, Jungkook gesticulated for me to go on. "Tomorrow's your boss' birthday and I don't know what flowers to get her."
"Go and ask her yourself dude. Why are you asking me?" He rolled his eyes, and grinned mischievously when I smacked his arm.
"You're no help. I knew it." I groaned.
Fishing out for another chip, Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly. "Try asking the florist near Sir Choi's mansion. He should know what kind of flowers boss likes."
"Oh! Alright, thanks Kook. I love you!" I winked, and he pretended to kick me while I scurried away.
My eyebrows quirked up when I reached the florist Jungkook mentioned to me. It was a relatively small shop, with an old handwritten signboard with the shop name displayed proudly on it.
Pushing the door opened, my nose tickled at the pollen scent when I entered the shop. I became awestruck at the variety of flowers the shop had, and I could only recognize a few common ones amongst the hundreds of them.
"Welcome sir! How may I help you?"
Contrary to what I had imagined the florist as, the man standing behind the counter was a young man who seemed to be slightly older than I was, a polite smile on his face as he waited for me to reply him. I stole a glance at the nametag pinned on the left side of his apron.
Seokjin.
"Sir?" His voice made me blink, and I blushed slightly at the embarrassment.
"Sorry, I was told to visit this shop for an idea for my wife." I informed him, and the man nodded in understanding while smiling still.
"Well, do you know what kind of flowers does she like?" Seokjin questioned, and I shook my head sheepishly. "It's alright, I'll help you out. Don't worry."
"Thanks." I replied, and followed him towards where most of the flowers were kept at.
"Would you like to buy roses? They're symbolic for romantic love." He picked out a few blooming red roses.
"I'm hoping for something more special. A flower that is similar to her." I smiled.
"Oh, can you please describe me her traits then?"
I nodded enthusiastically. "She's a really beautiful woman. Strong and intelligent in her own ways, but nevertheless innocent at times."
Seokjin grinned. "I have the perfect flower for her. Come on, follow me."
