To Messrs. Saludez, Lim, and Ramos:
Hello! I am Rex Alphonse Reventar, the President of Diamond. It is my great honor to welcome you to the world of PSHS-MC. While you may not be able to go to the Main Campus, I assure you this: You will learn quite a bit about how different the 2 campuses are and how similar the populace is. Indeed, while the MC may be less prominent nowadays considering the scandals that have recently rocked the system, the people here take pride in their ability and skill at surviving the pressure cooker, in one way or another, that is our school. Verily, as quoted by one of the best teachers, Sir Francis: "High school is hell, but we navigate it well!"
Now, to the section you are to read about. Diamond-Camia is a middle-road class: we cannot lay claim to the most intelligent students, or the best teacher set; the most meme lords, or the richest parents. Indeed, one of the interesting things about Dia-Camia is the somewhat normalcy of it: it has its fair share of each group of people, and it is thankfully not imbalanced. It has just the right number of artists, thinkers, dancers, and leaders to move through the classes well enough, without losing our sanity nor our grades: however, due to this, we also cannot lay claim to the awards that are awarded oft to better classes, as it is. Thus, I end up viewing each of our challenges not as an opportunity to combat others and claim victory, but as an opportunity to build stronger bonds amongst ourselves and build lasting friendships and experiences: stories to tell with great joy to each other and to others who are willing to listen. This book is a culmination of that– within it is our most important stories; stories you should get to know to understand our history and our friendships. Every story shows how we change and how we have changed: how class made friends, made enemies, or maybe even found love. They also show how we interact with each other, both in our times of joy and in our times of sorrow: in our times of love and in our times of hate: in our fairest weather and our darkest hour. Each one tells so much about how we came to where we are and how we will move on from here, and after you read it, I hope you will learn how all of us can move on together into our newly-combined futures.
I hope that with this book, you will be able to see how we came to be this way. I hope we didn't plunge you off into our deep end when you joined the chat, but I fear we ended up doing so. Therefore, this book will slowly, chronologically show you how we came to be Diamonds (or Diamundals or Diapers): it will show you how the Cult of Seven became non-negotiable for entry: it will show you the love and the heartbreak that lead to our divisions: it will show you how each of us evolved from our shy first days to our bold last days. I hope that after reading this, together: all of us will evolve and grow with you to become a sturdy family that can face any challenge that comes our way: and we will fill this book with many more stories, each of them with you.
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the book.
-Rex Alphone Reventar, Class President
