Chapter One

❥ Lucy's POV:

The ground was filled with dirt and pieces of collapsed buildings. The air was filled with relief from the battle coming to a end.

"Natsu," Igneel soon added, "Its time to go to Dragon Island."

I couldn't withstand the pain. The horror on my face could be seen from everyone.

"We dragons don't have the magic power anymore." The red dragon said with pain. "All dragon slayers need to come with us. If you won't then you might turn into a dragon."

Wendy was crying. Her blue hair was messed up from the rust of the buildings she crashed into. For such a young age she had to go through all of this.

"Will we ever come back?" Natsu asked, with the noticeable pain in his eyes.

His muffler was almost worn out, with his clothes ripped. The sadness came to everyone, everyone was crying except me.

I knew this would happen soon. Soon enough when I saw Igneel, I knew he would do something besides going into Natsu again.

"Sooner or later..." The dragon finally said.

Natsu showed his sadness with his mouth, like he always does.

I soon couldn't take it anymore, so I ran back to my apartment.

The tears finally came. The tears only come when your frustrated, not because of sadness, but frustration.

I didn't want to see Natsu and the others leave. I don't want the guild to become quiet. It was always fun when it was loud. I didn't want anyone to cry. I didn't want anyone to feel like they were lonely.

My tears splat on the ground as I ran, and the support of wind in my face.

I finally opened the door to my apartment. The picture of our guild...no, our family, was on my bedside table. The smile on everyone's face. I had the urge of having a sorrowful smile.

Suddenly someone came up my window. Natsu. Of course its him. He's the only person who does that.

His presence gave me a warm feeling. Whenever he's around he always keeps me warm, even when he's not around whenever I think of him he gives me a warm feeling.

"Here," He handed me his muffler. "From Igneel to me to you."

I gave him a sad smile. "Why this?"

"I just wanted to give it to someone I love," Natsu gave me a smile. "and I wanted the last image of me in your head to be a smile on my face. Sayonara Lucy."

He soon turned away but before he did I could see a tear drop on the floor.

I smiled, holding his white muffler. His warmth was still here in this muffler even though he left. Then I soon realized it would not be the last I would see him.
