Karasuno Manager Dating Sugawara [hc/dr]

A/N: I love him so much he's my favourite character in all of haikyuu I think - like I'm indecisive but I'm 99.9% sure he's my top character (followed by kuroo and iwa) anyway enjoy, I posted this for his birthday in June so it has a little written scenario at the end

Character Pairing: Sugawara Koshi x reader

- you met in your first year at Karasuno and encouraged them to continue playing even though the team then weren't at their best

- Cue a blushy first year Suga trying to ask you out at the end of the year.

- You were always his No.1 supporter, even when he was benched.

- I imagine you probably played volleyball at one point before becoming their manager so you're familiar with the rules and strategies, it would have also been the thing you two (and daichi and Asahi) bonded over.

- top tier game analysis and tactics from you two, as i said before, power couple on and off the court

- Noya and Tanaka didn't realise you were with Suga when they joined, as you and Kiyoko keep to yourselves on the side and let the boys practice. When they crossed the line with their playful worshipping though, o h n o protective Sugamama incoming

- they will continue to low-key worship you because they appreciate their managers but there is a line (that they should avoid crossing)

- You two baby all of the members, the first years just need to be protected and as the more talkative third year manager, the immediate sense of protection was overwhelming, Kags and Tsukki lowkey love you but they'd never admit to it, the other three are literally rays of sunshine though.

- if you ever argue, which would not be often but of course all couples do at some point sadly. (it would only be trivial things though, because stubbornness).  the whole team will be able feel it, the usually bubbly, vodka aunt/mother of the team and their sweet, funny manager just seem a l o t quieter than usual.

- ensue the team trying to figure out what happened because everything was fine earlier. while you and Suga try and busy yourselves with everything and anything to avoid the dispute going further, the team share suspicious glances between them resulting in a split into two groups to figure out what happened and provide comfort if needed.

- Daichi, Asahi, the mature second years (you know who I mean, Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita), Yams and Tsukki are assigned to Suga

- while Kiyoko, Yachi, Noya, Tanaka, Kags and Hinata attempt to ask you how you're feeling

- Upon everyone talking they will soon find out it was probably something very small that just tipped a bad day over the edge. you know those days where everything just seems against you.

- you're both stressed and words just rip into each other from the build up of negative emotions you've both had that day and then silence because you left the conversation at "we need to cool off" and went to prepare for the end of the day/last lesson.

- Daichi and Asahi were s c a r e d at first, they did not need their best friends ignoring each other

- With pep talks from Daichi, Asahi, Noya Tanaka and the girls respectively, and an annoying yet true comment from Tsukishima of, "You dramatic people, just kiss and make up, arent you meant to be there for each other during rough times"  someone slap Tsukki for thinking it's a waste of his time but he was kind of right

- The rest of practice will go smoothly and would 10000% buy snacks or drinks on your way home together

- He would also walk you home after school/practices daily anyway becuase he's a gentleman like that

- Pregame rituals consisting of kisses and hugs

- like whispering words of encouragement to him as you both just stare with adoration at each other and his hands cup your face

- When he's taken off the bench your just like "that's my man, my setter!"

- Flashes you a bright smile from on the court and you m e l t

- The affectionate look of  amazement on your face when watching him play

- Makes him all blushy and he'll make eye contact with you whenever he can for encouragement

- And don't even get me started on when you saw them do the synchronised attack for the first time-

- It was beautiful

- Your love and fondness for him grew as you knew how hard he had been working

- Win a game? Tackled and hugged, both of you have initiated it before, your lowkey feral energy just shows when together and in love, running full force into each other to wrap your arms around one another and show how proud you are, honestly ugh I love it here lmao

- Oh my god falling asleep together on the coach back after matches. That's all I need. Forehead kisses, leaning on his shoulder and his head is on yours and he just falls asleep and looks so cute I can't deal

- Overall, everyone loves you two, your energy just kinda matches each other, so sweet and funny and caring, and of course a little chaotic in your "negativity begone" sorta ways. 

Small birthday bonus:

"Happy Birthday Kōshi~" you sang in his ear, hugging him from behind. A large smile adorned his face as he turned in your arms to replicate tha action. Hugging you back he whispered a soft "thank you" into your hair. You tightened your arms around him slightly, hoping this quiet moment would last forever, especially when you knew what birthday themed chaos was waiting for him in the gym.

"Now, as much as I'd love to stand here with you for all eternity, there may or may not be a surprise waiting for you in the gym so let's get going, shall we?" You babbled quickly, with bright eyes as you pulled away from the hug extending a hand for him to grab. He tilted his head to the side and nodded, slightly confused, but, grabbed your hand nonetheless and laced your fingers together. Before you could turn to start walking though, he pulled you by the hand into a quick and very unexpected loving kiss, leaving you in a daze. He gave a quick tug to your hand with a smalll grin on his face.

"We can't keep the surprise waiting now, can we?" Were his last words before pulling you along in your love struck state.
