The moment she woke up, her mind immediately thought of San Junipero. And that's when an idea sprang to her, rolling over she grabbed her phone off the bed table where it was wirelessly charging. Stifling a yawn, she typed San Junipero soundtrack in Google. Moments later, her suspicions were confirmed. There was a soundtrack, and on top of that, it was on vinyl.
"Yes," Stella hissed her voice ranging higher in excitement at adding another record to her collection. Usually, she would be hedge hunting for albums such as this. However, with an excellent playlist as this one, it would be hard to let it go. Checking the link to Amazon, she grinned ear to ear when she saw the price was only 14.99. That's when it dawned on her that was the audio CD. Swiping right, she noticed the vinyl price increased substantially.
"Fifty-four dollars," She muttered disappointingly, her breath caught in the back of her throat. The last time she paid a high price for an album was her signed mint conditioned Michael Jackson's Thriller. And even that she managed to hassle down the final price. Unlike her signed George Michael's Faith LP record, she came across at a local yard sale. That golden opportunity she happened upon was honestly a snag. She smirked as she remembered the imbeciles who sold it to her without knowing the vintage worth it carried. Coming back to reality, she knew that was too much, and there had to be other places offering cheaper prices. She went to eBay next, and when that was a bust, she tried her regular online vendor. Turns out, they carried it in stock. On top of it being on sale. She smiled cheekily. They were open at 10 AM, which meant she could get in a quick cup of coffee and a decent shower. And still, be one of the first costumers to arrive. Not that it mattered, it was a Wednesday, who could be shopping in the middle of the week anyhow?
Pulling back her comforter, Stella headed for the kitchen where a freshly brewed coffee greeted her. Inhaling the aromatic scent, she swore her toes curled as she reached for one of her mugs. A set of teal porcelain mugs were placed next to the heavy-duty Ninja branded Carafe. Honestly, it was the greatest gift her dad could ever bestow to her. There was no one, NO ONE, who loved coffee more than her. Pouring the steaming dark liquid in her mug, she splashed a dash of French Vanilla International Creamer and enjoyed her delicacy in peace. Yet her mind kept drifting towards it, San Junipero. The more she thought of it, the more questions that seemed to haunt her. Like, "What made Kelly pick Yorkie in the end?" Or, "What if Yorkie hadn't seen Kelly in those first few moments, would she have still stayed?" or maybe she asks, would they have still met?
Realizing it was pointless; Stella decided she would join a forum. It was the only way from going stir crazy with these unrelenting questions. There has to be one by now. mentally kicked herself for being unbeknownst to this for as long as she has. It felt like this light switched on. Is this what others felt after they watched this episode. Stella made a mental note to join the group and ask. She wondered if people felt like this when they first watched Elena Undone? Stella almost laughed aloud, okay now she had to be realistic. Who hasn't seen Elena Undone? Even people who live under rocks are capable of getting the Internet. She rolled her eyes at herself, quickly washed her cup, and went to shower.
