The picture is of secretariat at Belmont.

When I got back from the US I wasn't drove to the normal farm I was born and raised at, instead was drove to a place with a crap ton of flowers.

As I was unloaded I looked around "well girl. This is your new home." I held my head high and kept looking around until a little girl came over "oh my gosh. Your so beautiful Y/n. Your going to love it here." She took my lead as my groom explained everything to her "please take good care of her Nina. Shes irreplaceable and many will try to steal her." The little girl. Nina. Nodded "I will. I can't believe I have the first filly to win the triple crown and my favorite horse now. Thank you thank you thank you." She hugged my groom then I lowered my head to sniff her face which made her giggle "shes very gentle as you can see. She takes care of her riders and will put herself in harm's way before she will let her rider get hurt. She loves peppermints and apple berry treats. Shes friends with Ferdinand as well." I heard his name and brought my head up slowly to look around some more "you can race her some more if you wish or you can retire her. Shes in your name and your father's name so you can do as you wish." Nina looked at me then to the ground "does that include letting her have babies?" My groom nodded "yes, but its up to you and your father. Now I have to go." My groom got back in the truck and left leaving me with the little girl "come on Y/n I have the best place for you."

She took me to a very large gate where a cork tree sat just on the other side and took my halter off completely as she got me inside the gate, I stood there just looking at her before I heard a familiar voice call out 'Nina' and a bunch of thundering hoof beats coming towards us.

I stood there watching as Ferdinand and the others came up over the hill "Y/n?" I got wide eyed "Ferd?" He nodded then walked past me to Nina who hopped on his back after dropping my halter and lead rope on the ground "so Y/n you up for an adventure?" I looked at Bones and smiled "always. I've been standing for to long." Ferdinand and Nina were walking down the hill towards the sunflowers already so I started trotting to catch up and caught up in just a few seconds "Ferdinand isn't she sweet?" He blushed "yeah she is" all she heard was him moo and she giggled "you fit in here Y/n." I glanced up at her and winnied making her giggle again.

I hadn't raced in about two months, but Nina would ride me from time to time at a gallop through the sunflowers and I loved it.

I walked onto the track and looked around at everything. It was my first race back since I had been rehomed so I was a little nervous and my jockey felt it.

"Hey, hey, hey, easy girl. Your alright. You've done this before. Now let's go out there and show those boys what us girls are made of." I settled down "there you go beautiful. You've proved to this whole world that horses can be beautiful and still win, so let's not let your new owners down." There weren't many girl jockeys but the few that were out there usually weren't picked to race in graded stakes races.

I won that race...and the next one...and the next...and the next. I won all twenty races Juan and Nina had entered me in and they were all against colts and older horses who had more experience and were pretty much better than me.

In my twenty first race I almost lost which made people start wondering of it was time for retirement. I was tired and getting older since I had been with my new owners for two years now and they made sure to listen to me.

"Dad I think shes ready to be retired." I huffed and Nina giggled "not right away girl. We'll wait until your ready." I nodded my head and Juan smiled "ok. We'll retire her Nina, but one more race so she can prove herself one more time." I pricked my ears at this and nickered which got me some well deserved pat's from Juan.

My last race many were scared I was going to end up like Zenyatta and lose while others had so much faith in me it was ridiculous. I was up against older male horses on a two mile track. The longest distance I've run in my entire life.

"They're in the gates and ready for the start. Y/n the races favorite is undefeated and a triple crown winner. This will be her last race before she starts her broodmare career in a few months time." I listened and waited for the gates to burst open then they did, but it was only mine so they took me back around and put me back into the gate, as I waited I felt a pain in my front leg, so I looked down to see it bleeding badly from my shoulder, my jockey noticed too, but it was too late the gates burst open and we were racing...
