There once lived a majestic peacock who lived in a town,
The birds had chosen him as their king, and gave him a crown.
He was given a castle on top of a mound,
He was honored, but then there came THE HOUND.
The Hound brought terror throughout the birds' town.
The majestic peacock panicked and hid underground.
His courage faded, his honor regressed,
While the hound was raiding and progressed.
The bird court tried to cheer him up,
But he was terrified and thought he was going to be sup.
But all of the sudden, he got up,
And said," Lets fight and make that dog to syrup!
He rallied his troops and marched to the field,
They charged at the hound, and they did not yield.
With clashing and fighting all about,
The majestic peacock gave a loud shout.
"You hound who is great and is destroying my town,
You will lose in this battle, and you will fall and go down!"
The hound was furious and charged at the bird king,
The peacock slashed him, as if the hound was a string.
The hound was defeated, and the town all rejoiced,
The birds chanted abundantly with a great voice.
The majestic peacock was honored yet again,
He sentenced the hound to die in a den.
The majestic peacock is still honored in the birds' town.
He is their hero, who was the first to have the town's crown.
He is a legend, who is now buried in the Sacred Mound,
But no one now believes in this story, for his body was not found.
