Fangirling and beaches (Ch 28)

Tyler's POV

I grin at Troye after hearing Zoe's voice. She's always very excited about everything.

He grins back and leans forward to kiss me. I meet him halfway, and melt into the kiss, totally forgetting about Zoe - this is, until the door flew open.

I abruptly pull away from Troye, and turned around to face Zoe, horrified.

"Oh my God," she says softly, before letting out a high-pitched squeal. "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God," she says over and over before stopping short. "Are you guys together?"

"Uh..." Troye looks at me, and I nod, signally that it's okay for him to tell Zoe.
"Yeah," he finishes.

"Finally!" She says. "You don't know what it's like, having your OTP like each other, but not admitting it!"

"Wait, you knew?" I ask.

"Yes! You see, you told me in the car on the way to the airport," Zoe says. I blush when Troye smirks at me.

"I know that," I say impatiently.

"Yeah, and then Troye told me he likes you when we had that conversation in the hallway, before you walked in on it and all the drama started!"

So it was me they were taking about? I smile at a faintly embarrassed Troye.

"Do you mind not telling anyone just yet?" I ask her. Troye and I hadn't planned on telling anybody for a while, so Zoe finding out sort of ruined our plan.

"Of course!" She says quickly. "Wait... not even Alfie?"

"Not even Alfie," Troye confirms.

She pouts, but nods anyway.

"How'd you get in here?" I ask suddenly.

"Oh! Uh- the door was open," Zoe says. I can tell she's being honest.

"Oops, I guess we forgot to lock it," Troye says sheepishly.

"OTP!" Zoe yells out suddenly. She starts jumping up and down, and I roll my eyes.

"Back to the what you said before you came in and rudely interrupted us, where are we going today?"

"Oh, right!" Zoe says, finally finished fangirling. "We're going to the beach!"

"Okay. When?"

"In about half an hour, so get ready now and meet us down at the foyer," Zoe says.

"Is everyone going?" Troye asks.

"Yup!" Zoe says excitedly, before running out of the room.

I look at Troye, shrug, and then go to put my bathers on.

He grabs his bathers and walks into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

I pout, disappointed that I don't get to see none of the booty. Hey, don't look at me like that, mama's thirsty!

When we finish getting ready and applying sunscreen, we make our way to the foyer.

Everyone is waiting for us there, so when we get there they start reading off the car lists.

"Troye, Tyler, Zoe and Alfie in one, and Joe, Caspar and me in the other one," Connor informs the group.

"Okay, let's go!" Joe says, mirroring his older sisters excitement.

When Zalfie, Troye and I are in the car, we put on our seat belts and Alfie, the one who's driving, starts the car.

Zoe starts singing. "Let's go to the beach- each, let's go get away!" She stops abruptly, and frowns. "It isn't the same without Chummy," she informs us.

I roll my eyes. "Why isn't she here?"

"She didn't have time to go, she has Darcy to look after," Zoe says sadly.

The rest of the ten minute car ride is filled with mindless chatter.

At one point, and look over at Troye and grin, interlacing our fingers. He doesn't pull away, because he knows that the others won't read into it for how it truly is - except maybe Zoe, because she already knows.

When we finally reach the beach, we step out of the car and wait for Jaspar and Connor to get here.

I have a feeling that this is going to be fun.
