" Checkmate."
" That's not fairrrrr." Enzo dragged slapping the board.
" Yes it is , I won fair and square." I smiled.
" No you didn't." He frowned laying his head on his pillow.
Every afternoon I came up here to keep him company since my mom starting taking all the shifts she could to take care of his hospital expenses.
I couldn't help but feel bad for him because he shouldn't have to experience this kind of pain so young but he always kept his head high.
" Your birthday coming up." I smiled trying to cheer him up. " What you want ?"
" To leave this place."
" You know they said it'll be some time before you can officially leave." I sighed. " I could take you out with me if you want."
" I wanna leave forever." He sniffed. " The put the stuff on my head everyday and it hurts , Tinka. It's hurts."
" I know." I frowned hugging him.
We sat there hugging each other until I heard the door open.
" Hello Ms.Boudreax." The doctor gave me a tight lipped smile.
" Hello." I stood up watching my face.
" I would explain but you should know by now." She said grabbing Enzo's bed.
" Mhm." I nodded knowing she was about to go take him for brain scans. " I'll be back later , Zo."
" Mhm." He said clearly aggravated.
" Be nice." I squeezed his cheek before the doctor pulled him away.
I grabbed my phone sitting back and yawning , I was tired more than anything. I was working all day , visiting Enzo , helping my mom with bills then tried to balance my personal life all at once.
I grabbed my phone scrolling through my instagram time line.
" Ain't nothing on here." I mumbled as soon as I opened it.
I went to my messages seeing that I had got a text from Izzy two days ago.
