Hidden in the Waters [OLD VER]

Prologue 序章

Naruto walked on the stone path out of Konoha, into the unknown world. He had been banned from Konoha for bringing Sasuke back and defeating Orochimaru. He had done Konoha a favour, and this is what he gets back? Wow. Those ungrateful idiots. They had formulated a reason to ban him: "hurting Sasuke", being "a demon", "destroying everything", "killing an innocent", and "wronging everyone".

'Where do I go next?' Naruto thought. 'I should practice first.'

Naruto drove a Rasenshuriken into a tree, easily crushing it. The former Konoha ninja had been trained by Kurama, as well as Jiraiya.

'Naruto. Let's go find a new shinobi village. Any village would take the chance to recruit you.' Kurama assured the young jinchuuriki.

'Sure.' Naruto said.

~ Konohagakure ~

Tsunade sat at her desk, lounging comfortably. She had gotten an uncomfortable feeling since Naruto had left the village an hour ago. She knew that the council had made an incorrect decision. She knew that Naruto was a strong force, helping Konoha or not.

Danzo sat on his chair underground, smiling. Naruto Uzumaki was out of the way, he would finally obtain the final gear of the system he was building. And the most important gear, the biggest one, and the one finally ready, was the Sharingan. Shimura Danzo wanted to recruit Uchiha Sasuke into his elite ANBU division, ROOT.

Koharu and Homura smiled. Danzo would obtain his wish. The village would become the strongest. Tsunade would be out of the way in 5 years. The Konoha Council's plan was perfect. The only flaw in the plan, unknown to them was Naruto Uzumaki, who would come back to haunt them.

Sakura Haruno smiled. Sasuke was back and Naruto, the annoying DEMON, was out of the way. Yeah, sure, he defeated Orochimaru, but her "Sasuke-kun" could do much better. (sarcasm implied, what Sakura thinks) Sakura hated Naruto, annoying her, breaking her relationship with her "Sasuke-kun".

Kinoto bounced around Konoha, looking for Danzo's 2 targets, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. He was told that those were the only standout Genin that would join ROOT. 

'Target Spotted.' Kinoto thought, as he leaped down to talk to Sakura.

Sasuke Uchiha took a sip of soothing green tea that he had brewed. He HAD to obtain the brat Naruto Uzumaki's power, and what better way to do that than exile him, then have an excuse to stealing his power? Sasuke was calm, happy at the peace without their brat teammate. He knew that Naruto hadn't revealed his true power, which made him even more anxious to get Naruto's techniques and skill. The Sharingan didn't work last time he tried, so Sasuke wanted to fuse his body with that idiot's.

Kakashi Hatake sighed. Naruto Uzumaki, the Number 1 Knuckle-Head ninja, had left the village. He knew the risks as well as the benefit of Naruto's exile. The villagers would be more peaceful, without the "demon" there for them to beat. But even with the risks, he still loved the fact that he could focus on Sasuke, the genius, and not Naruto, the demon or monster. Naruto, the demon that killed Minato. What Kakashi did not know was that Naruto was not only Minato's son, Naruto would also come back to haunt them.

'Better get back to reading!' Kakashi thought, opening the orange cover of the book that Jiraiya had written.

Sai fake smiled. He would be joining Team 7, under the tutelage of Hinoe and Hinoto, part of ROOT. They would monitor Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, the most recent recruits for ROOT. Danzo had assigned the Konoha ANBU a mission, and he would complete it perfectly, like he always did.

~ Unknown Location, 2 Years Later ~

A man with the kanji for water on his blue hat sat comfortably. He would withdraw from his position in a month, after the new candidate for village leader was ready for the job. The new candidate had sympathised with him, and he had proven himself strong enough to take on the famed mantle known as [||||||||]. The man sighed. He would drop down to being an ANBU again. The good old days.

The successor of the man stepped into the room.

'Mizukage-sama, the mission is finished.' The successor said, a mask with the symbol of Kiri on his face.

'Good. Prepare. In 3 months, you will become the Mizukage and I will become an ANBU.' The Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi said. 'Kiri no Kaibutsu, the Godaime Mizukage. I like the sound of that.'

'Yes. It is time for me to decide on my name.' The Oni mask ANBU, known as the Monster of Kiri said. 'How about Mizugen? Perfect.'

The two men laughed, as the Sanbi Jinchuuriki prepared to pass the hat of the Mizukage to Mizugen.
