5 - Danzo's Research ダンゾウの研究

Onoki sat at his desk. Mizugen was warning the Shinobi Nations about the evil acts and possible future acts of the Rokudaime Hokage, Shimura Danzo. Onoki knew the old war hawk was trouble. What he didn't know before was that Danzo wasn't afraid of trying to assassinate Kages.

'It seems as we need to discuss with Kirigakure and Sunagakure on the Danzo issue.' Onoki said.

~ Shonin Village ~

Tsuchinoto prepared his new tools.

'Shiroki, check with your Byakugan if my readings are correct. 5 guards on the left wing, 4 on the south, 10 on the north and 6 on the east.' Kanoto, one of Danzo's ROOT agents said as he adjusted his hitai-ate.

'You are correct. Miiru's research is successful. Tenchu, prepare Yoji's bugs.' Shiroki said, as his Byakugan blared.

'Right.' Tenchu said, as he quickly released a swarm of bugs. 'Operation Assassinate Anti-Konoha Merchant is go.'

The tiny bugs crawled onto the guards's bodies as the 3 ROOT agents who formed ROOT 43 prepared to enter the castle in the middle.

'Sending Chikiseichu (Tiny Parasitic Insect) and Kanchichu (Sensor Insect) now.' Tenchu said as he released more bugs. 'Experiment Multi-Colony is operational. So is Experiment Byakugan.'

'Prepare. All for Konoha.' Kanoto said, as he started placing explosive tags around the perimeter.

'All for Konoha.' The ROOT agents recited, as they prepared their operation.

'Target Incoming. Prepare tags. Testing Experiment Kazanchu (multiplying insect) now.' Tenchu muttered, as he launched nearly half of his insects into the tags.

'Release.' Kanoto whispered, as the tags exploded. 'Mission Success.'

'Put in the Mohosha (imitator).' Shiroki said stoically.

Shiroki quickly used an Earth Jutsu to restore the terrain while Kanoto prepared the Mohosha experiment.

'Let's get back. Danzo-sama will be pleased.' Kanoto said. 'All for Konoha.'

Tenchu smiled as he picked up the body. 'Kisei's additional research paid off. The Kazanchu and the Fire Resistant Insects (Taikaseichu) work. Return.'

The bugs crawled back onto Tenchu's arms.

The experiments the ROOT agents used were the bare minimum of the ability of the new equipment. After more than 10 years of secret research, ROOT had advanced technologically in short times. Too bad for ROOT that the equipment was unavailable during the Mizukage Assassination Mission. But Danzo did not care. All he cared about was Konoha. And he would protect it with any way possible.

~ Konohagakure ~

Danzo smiled. The Mohosha worked. He had control over multiple areas of the outside world. ROOT would be furthered. He knew it was time to acquire more power.

'I need all scientists on the job immediately.' Danzo ordered as he handed Yamanaka Fū a folder of research and missions.

'Yes, Danzo-sama.'

Danzo knew that in time, Kumo, Iwa, Kiri, and Suna would be crushed by his iron fist. But he could not fathom the powers of one Naruto Uzumaki, Mizukage of Kirigakure, and his shinobi.

~ Orochimaru's Secret Hideout ~

Orochimaru growled in frustration. Sasuke never left the village. His bases had been looted by Danzo. How dare that war hawk steal his research and his ideal vessel! He knew he had to make a move.

'Kabuto. I need you to rally the prisoners and make them elite Oto ninja. Train them in their ninja skills. WE need ANBU level Ninja. And give me the Kekkei Genkai DNA.' Orochimaru said. 'Danzo may have taken most of my research, but he is missing the complete version of the Kekkei Genkai experiment. He only has the incomplete prototype. I have memorised the rest. I will destroy you, Danzo.'

Orochimaru took a test tube off the racks of potions, poisons, research, and serums and fingered it tightly.

'This is the key.' he said. 'This is the key. Kukuku, I guess I didn't need you after all, Sasuke-kun I have no more need of you. Danzo, this will be your downfall.'

~ Kirigakure ~

Naruto smiled. There was no more need of the Oni mask in the office. If Iwa and Kumo would join them, they would form a revolutionary alliance, mending past faults.

'Naruto-sama. It's troublesome, but there has been responses from Iwa and Kumo.' Shikamaru said, handing Naruto 2 papers.

'Thank you, Shikamaru-san.' Naruto said. 'I will read through them.'

'' Dear Mizukage-dono: We would like to have a discussion with you and Kazekage-dono to discuss an alliance and Konoha. We are considering your offer, but we want to gain something. Tsuchikage-dono '''

'' Mizukage-dono: This is Raikage-sama and we would not like to accept. Are you belittling our village? I hope not, because we would like to stay neutral. It is not my problem. Raikage-sama '''

Naruto sighed.

'Tell Tsuchikage-dono that I accept. Tell Raikage-dono that I am fine.' Naruto said.

'Yes, Naruto-sama.' Shikamaru replied. 'Troublesome.'

'Good. I look forward to seeing Onoki-dono.' Naruto smiled.

~ ROOT Headquarters ~

'Prepare the tests.' Danzo said, as hundreds of youngsters crowded below.

'Yes, Danzo-sama.' The ROOT agents said.

'We need all of the capable ones out. I need ROOT 101 to 150 ready by the time the test is over. And we're doing a new test this year. We need more agents.' Danzo said.

'All for Konoha.' The ROOT agent said.

'Good, Torune, Fū. It is time to make Konoha great again (See where the reference is from lol, no offence).' Danzo said.
