The next day Dain and Jake woke up to the loud beeping of Dain's alarm clock. Both of the men groaned as Dain reached over to put it on snooze and lay back down snuggling back into his boyfriend's bare chest. Jake however quickly got up pushing the other off of him. Dain looked up whimpering "why"
"Gotta get ready for school" Jake said stretching "lucky for me you steal my clothes all the time" he continued picking out sweat pants out of Dain's closet looking back to Dain who was almost asleep again and picking him up "I want the hoodie you stole from me" he whispered into his ear Dain shook his head pulling the hood up and shoving his face into Jake's shoulder. Jake let out a sigh laying the other back on the bed before pulling the hoodie off him, with this Dain shot up and squealed "hey it's cold!" Jake simply threw a shirt at him as he walked out of the room.
After both men got changed they started walking to school together. After they got there Dain realized he had about a houre before he had to worry about getting to class so he fallowed Jake over to the locker rooms. When they got to the door Jake turned to him "can I have my jacket back yet?" Dain shook his head in response "come on babe the others make fun of me bc you wear it all the time"
"So? They make fun of me for existing, besides I 'stool it from your locker' remember it'd be more suspicious if you had it again" Dain said almost mockingly. Just then three other guys came up all wearing tshirts and matching lettermen jackets "hey is he bothering you?" One of them asked "no I was just telling him to leave me alone" Jake responded shooting a sympathetic look to Dain who just looked down in response. A different one of the three men stepped forward a ruffly shoved Dain "leave him alone fag" the other two joined him. Stepping forward the three pushed him back and forth between them repeatedly saying things like "yeah leave him alone faggot" "one day God's gonna get you ass eater" "your gonna burn in hell shit bag" before Jake finally spoke up "come on leave him alone he's not worth our time" the other three agreed and walked past Jake into the locker room the last one of the three pushing Dain over as he walked past leaving Jake and Dain by the door by themselves. Jake quickly stepped towards him helping him up and bringing him into a tight hug "I'm sorry are you ok?" he asked very worried. Dain just nodded in response, Jake pulled them apart keeping his hands on the others shoulder before saying"please talk to me I need to hear it"
"Yeah I'll be fine" Dain said quickly in response then continued "I should go get cleaned up and get to class" he finished, they both know that he still had a while before he had to worry about class but Jake nodded anyways letting him go.
A few hours later and it was finally lunch brake. Dain walked out to the bleachers next to the football feeled and leaned against a pole while he waited for the others. Lilly and Bone were the first to show up still holding hands and walking next to each other. A few moments later Jake came out they all greated each other very non formally. Dain was suprisingly quiet, it was a rear thing for him to stop talking even for a few minutes. Jake looked over at him "are you still upset about earlier?" he asked in a genital voice but all he got in response was Dain shaking his head. Lilly butted in "what happened earlier?"
"Some of the other guys on the team were giving him a heard time" Jake responded, Lilly was about to say something else but was interrupted by Dain's voice "J-Jake-" he started his voice barely a mumble. Jake looked at him even though he was looking at the ground "yes baby" he said in a very soft voice "a-are you embarrassed by me?" He said still barely more then a mumble. Jake instantly pulled him into a tight hug before responding "of course not why would you think that" Dain lightly pushed him away "then why do you only act like you care when we're alone or they're the only other ones here" he said pointing to Lilly and Bone who where now sitting on the ground planning arson, both agreeing that no school means no homework and no homework means happy and more time to spend with each other. Jake looked back to Dain and said "you know I'm not really out unlike all of you"
"YOUR CLOSET DOOR IS GLASS!" Dain shouted making Lilly and Bone look up from their plans to burn the school "if people didn't know then they're fucken blind" he continued shaking "you don't even let me go to your house because your worried about your family finding out, but they know, everyone except the ideats in the football team know" he finished crying. Jake in a loss of words stepped back not sure what to say or do "I-I u-uh" Jake stammered for his words as Dain fell to his knees crying. Lilly and Bone walked over to rub his back and try to get him to stop crying as they are both bad with others showing emotions and didn't know what else to do. Dain looked up from the sound of heavy footsteps, it was the three ideats from earlier "Brooo there you are, we heard yelling and came to see what the fuck was up" one said, another continued "dude did you finally do it to him, look at the fag crying" Jake looked between Dain and the three men before taking a few steps closer to the group. He let out a heavy sigh before saying under his breath but loud enough for the three of them to hear "leave my boyfriend alone"
"Bro wha-" one of them started before Jake punched him across the face knocking him down "I said leave my boyfriend alone!" He yelled walking closer to the other two who where still standing. The two very wisely ran for their lives leaving the third one to try to stumble to his feet before running after them.
Jake let out another heavy sight before walking back to Dain "you ok?" Jake asked in a sweet voice Dain simply nodded and wiped his tears away "good, let's go" Jake said reaching a hand towards him. Dane grabbed it before asking "where?"
"Uh, to my place where else, we're playing hooky for the rest of the day and I'm gonna come out to my parents, and your gonna be with me" Jake answered pulling him close and waving goodbye to Lilly and Bone as they walked away.
