Attack On Titan: secrets dwell (Levi x OC)

Chapter 5

As soon as everyone finished the race, it was lunch time, which was good for me since my stomach felt like it held no food in it and it was quenching together, begging for food.

I got my tray of food, but as soon as I turned around, I saw Lilliana and decided to sneak out to avoid her. I passed by Levi's door, on my way to the bathroom to eat, but the door opened and I heard a voice call out my name.

"Oi! Gemma! Where are you going?"

I turned around and saw Levi there leaning on the doorway.

"To the bathroom..." I answered, unsure why he asked.

"......Come in." He then walked inside the room with me in tow.

The office contained a desk with papers neatly stacked and spotless along with a green couch neatly placed with a red rug beneath it and a black coffee table in front of it.

I took a seat on the couch and placed my tray on the coffee table; looking around.

"You can stay here to eat." Levi replied as he sat down at his desk without glancing at me.

"Why?" I asked.

He looked up at me as if I asked a stupid question. "Do you want to eat in a shitty stall? Tch!"

"That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking why are you helping me?"

That's when he looked at me square in the eyes and we stayed silent as we stared at each other.

"You're different."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You don't get angry back and I'm curious as to why you just let those shitty brats say that."

I looked down before responding. "Because a bad person like me doesn't have the right to do something like that." I smiled sadly as I remembered the mistakes that I have made; how they stabbed into my brain, forcing me to remember the pain no matter how many times I try to get rid of it.

Levi sighed before speaking. "You can't possibly be bad if your willing to be good to someone like that."

His words hit me deeply in the heart and made me happy. A warm feeling washed over me as I smiled. Levi and I talked about our hobbies, well more like I did and he listened with boredom, but I was just happy that he was listening.

After lunch was over, we had to go to the training field for the second test, which was here to see who is good at killing titans.

As soon as zip through to kill the titans, I realized that nobody was in sight. I landed on a tree branch to look around, but it was deadly silent that I started growing anxious as to what was going on.

I then started having someone else's thoughts compressed into my head, raging in fire.

I hunched down in pain and cradled my head until someone's boot landed in front of me after what seemed like a minute of pain.

I was suddenly lifted by my arm and I caught sight of someone's eyes and, like magic, the pain disappeared along with those thoughts.

"What are you doing?!" He yelled, clearly annoyed, but I ignored that from the shock that I can't read his mind like everyone else, but I can feel his rage slipping into me.

"You've been missing for three hours?!" Now this caught me off guard.

"What?"

Instead of answering me, he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled in surprise.

"Taking you with me. Tch! Brats these days." He muttered to himself.

As soon as we got back, Levi just dropped me on the ground, causing my left shoulder to dislocate.

"Damn it Levi!" I screamed.

I took a scroll around the grounds to ease my mind and terrifying memory of my curse. It was happening again. I really hope the repeat of the past doesn't happen.

Just then I spotted Levi up ahead and decided to go towards him out of curiosity.

He was standing in one spot as he stared at the blue sky in the horizon with a happy gleam in his eye.

Then I came up with an idea that I should sneak and scare him, wondering how he would react.

I tiptoed my way before pushing him slightly as I yelled to frighten him, but I got a different reaction.

In a minute, I was pinned to the ground with Levi hovering over me, glaring.

"What are you doing?"

As I struggled to get free from him, I replied,"Nothing! Now get off of me! You're heavy!"

After a second of him staring and me trying to pry himself from me, he finally released me from his cage.

I thought he was going to help me up, so I reached my hand into the air, only to grab nothing, causing me to fall over. How can he just do that? That's so rude! I'll get payback for sure! But how? I'm terrible when it comes to revenge? Maybe I should hurt his pride?

I started devising a plan on how to ruin Levi's pride. Might sound stupid seeming that it's because he didn't help me up, but that's not it. It's just that things been adding up and he irritated me, but there were times where I had nice moments and considered him as a friend. I think frenemies might be a good term?
