After a few long minutes of thinking what to do, they agreed on splitting up, so one of them could keep an eye on Alastor, and the other one would go to the workshop, so he could call at the nearest hospital. And because John was the new snake-expert, they both decided that it would be best if he was the one to remain with Alastor. Therefore, Ethan rushed to the workshop, only to be greeted by Marina and novice Ryan Murphy. "CALL 132!!!!!(colombian emergency number)" Ethan yelled at them. "ALASTOR WAS BITTEN BY A PIT VIPER!!!!" "Alright, Ethan, you come with me, Murphy, call 132, I'll get the first-aid kit.", Marina said, in control of the situation. The novice quickly dialed the emergency number on the wire phone. Marina grabbed the medical kit, as her and Ethan rushed in the jungle.
"Alright, which way?", Marina asked, as Ethan looked around, disoriented. " You don't remember, do you?", she asked, annoyed. "No, No, I totally got this!", he said, looking for the path he came down. Suddenly, they heard leaves cracking, as they both looked around, a bit scared. Right after they hear monkey growls, they see a grey monkey, jumping from tree to tree. "Weird. I never heard or saw monkeys in this part of the jungle.", Marina said, surprised. "Really? I thought you knew this forest as well as the back of your hand.", Ethan said, slightly disappointed. As they were both arguing, a monkey swung on a vine, stealing Marina's kit. "HEY! COME BACK YOU LITTLE SHIT!!", Marina barked, as ran after the monkey. "WAIT, MARINA, DON'T GO!!", Ethan yelled at her, as he started following her. Little did they notice that they stumbled across Alastor and John.
"OH MY GOD!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!", Marina asked, kneeling besides Alastor, opening the med kit. "From what I've heard, the snake jumped from a bush directly grabbing onto Alastor's leg, biting his ankle.", John said, still not panicking. "This looks like a copperhead snakebite." Marina stated, concerned, while Alastor started having trouble breathing. "OH NO!! YOU STAY WITH ME! DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME!! YOU HEAR ME?!", Marina yelled, proceeding CPR. "ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!", Marina snapped, proceeding mouth-to-mouth. "What are you doing?", Ethan asked, with a sparkle of jealousy in his eyes. "I'M TRYING TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!", Marina shouted at him, pissed off. "Whatever...", Ethan snorted.
After a few long minutes of CPR, Alastor's breathing and heart rhythm stabilized. "Thank God...", Marina sighed, as they could hear the ambulance sirens in the distance.
