Zak's pov

It's been a few days since me and Darryl finally made it official, and this time I got to spend with him so far, has been great! I'm so glad I get to stay here and live with him. I honestly don't know what I would do if I just went home, especially after all that happened.

Darryl: "Zak! Dinner is ready, come get it before it gets cold!"

Zak: "Oh, coming!"

I wonder what yummy thing he cooked up this time! Ever since I started living at his house, he has always cooked for me everyday. Starting from when I wake up, to when I go to sleep. It's really nice having actual meals here, considering I used to only have take out.

Zak: "So, whatcha got this ti-"

I couldn't even finish my sentence, it looked SO GOOD!

Darryl: "Come on, let's just eat."

I dig in immediately, as I do for anything he cooks.

Zak: "This is so good! Sometimes I really wonder how you do this, thank you so much for cooking for me all the time. Especially cooking this good!"

Darryl: "Aw, thank you. It's nothing really, you deserve a good meal."

Zak: "You're so sweet."

He starts to blush, then continued to eat his food. As we finished up eating, I remembered what we were going to do after dinner. I planned to go outside and watch the sunset in the nice warm weather with him, and maybe even go on a walk around the neighborhood.

Darryl: "So, are you ready to go outside yet?"

Zak: "I was just thinking the same thing! But yes, I am. I just have to quickly put on my shoes."

Darryl: "Okay, just make sure to be quick you little muffin."

The way he talks to me now, makes my heart beat so fast. Even him just calling me a muffin is so cute at this point!

Zak: "Alright, let's go!"

But just when we open the door, I freeze.

Darryl: "Zak? Are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost!" He laughed out.

Zak: "Oh um." I gulp, "Yeah, I'm ok. But I don't think we should go out there..."

Darryl: "There's just some clouds!"

But that's the thing, I saw dark clouds rolling in when I looked up to the sky. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but it definitely was for me.

Ever since I was little, I've always been absolutely terrified of thunder and lightning. But I never wanted anyone to find out about it, and now I'm with him! I'm going to be shaking, and jump at every sound I hear, and every flash I see. I guess he does have to find out eventually anyways...

Zak: "Well, I just don't want to get rained on is all, haha."

Darryl: "It looks like it's going to storm."

I could feel my stomach turn as he said that. Then started to shiver, so I let go of Darryl's hand so he wouldn't notice.

Darryl: "The storms really far away though, we could probably stay out for a minute or two and watch the rest of the sunset before the clouds cover it."

Zak: "I think we should just stay in here. I mean, there's always tomorrow."

I say while failing to hold back the trembling in my voice. I really hope he didn't notice, well I know he did, but it's not like I can help it anyways.
