Every night when I look at the stars I feel that you're around, I feel like I am breathing.
It was done, it was all over five years back itself. I had lost a part of me that I'll never regain. Riding down the memory lane can be so beautiful. But the emotions they awake, the reminiscene of happy times years back, makes me feel hollow and devastated.
Not a day goes by that I don't miss that part of me that is no longer mine. Not a minute flies past without my heart terribly longing for what I had. I miss you with the same passion, the passion could have grew more but not less.'Time changes everything.' LIE.
Five years have passed and nothing has changed. I doubt if it would ever change. I'll sing and dance with joy, but it will never be the same joy, my smile will never hold the same completeness. It's incomplete just like me.
I can't tell you how loud my heart moans with every beat, how every day I try to move on but my memories refuse to let me forget. Because each and every memory of mine, is related to you.
Time could neither lessen my pain nor could it fade my love for you. But it could surely take me down to the old familiar path. The path which I call guilt.
The guilt is not for how I killed them but for how I couldn't wave a magic wand and stop you.
All I have, is your voice that keeps on ringing in my head and your smile. Now that there are moments which I can't share with you, I am only left with imagining how you would have reacted.
We would have been celebrating your birthday today if you hadn't decided to leave. Birthday is just a formality, I miss you the same each day, each minute and every single second. I wish you could come back, just once.
Happy birthday! - he completed as he bit his lower lip to keep out from crying."What are you doing?" A four year old walked up to him and elevated her head to meet his face.
"Talking to an angel." He replied as he bent down to lift her up in his arms.
"Angels talk to you?" She asked while rubbing her eyes and brushing her hair off her face.
"Yes." He said.
"How did you meet her?" She asked with curiosity visibly present in her eyes.
"She was mama's childhood friend. Mama once invited me to her house and I met her there."
"Oh!"
He remembers how they had met. Miheeka had invited him for a dinner. On reaching her place Ridhaan practically begged Rehan to go in first, as he was nervous. He rung the bell and waited for someone to open it. He had expected Miheeka to open the door but Seher had opened it for them. That was the first time he had saw her. She was the girl, the girl that he didn't knew would change the way he looks at his life and the same girl who would then suddenly leave him with a never ending heartbreak.
"Is angel beautiful?" She asks.
"Yes, angel is beautiful just like you." He replied sliding back into the reality.
"Mama said that I should say thank you when someone calls me beautiful. So, thank you." She said as she wrapped her tiny arms around him engulfing him into a hug.
"You're welcome. Now should we go home?"
"No. Even I want to talk to angel." She demanded.
"And what will you talk about?"
