Pacifica Pines doesn't know why the town of Gravity Falls rings a bell, but when her parents and cousin decide to stay the spring break with an old paranormal researcher IN that very town, she only becomes more determined to find out why it's so fam...
Mabel stared at the drawing with intense curiosity.
It was a rather strange drawing, with two circles surrounding a triangle that had one eye and a top hat and a bowtie. There were seemingly random symbols in the margins of the first two circles; the glow from Mason's ball of light made the whole picture seem to almost glow blue.

"What is this?" Mabel asked, bewildered.
But before Mason could answer her, she realized that some of the symbols were familiar. She gasped and pointed to one. "It's my Tent symbol!"
And, surprisingly, it was - she gestured to a tiny, quickly-drawn shooting star with a lone eye.
"That one looks like the pin Stanley wears!" She pointed to a crescent moon, and then her eyes lit up. "And that looks like the star on Gideon's hoodie!" she exclaimed, gesturing to a five-sided star.
The mention of Gideon finally made Mason say something. "A lot of people wear stars," he said stiffly. "Besides, we don't even know why this is down here."
Mabel crossed her arms. "You just don't like Gideon."
Mason frowned. "We don't even know what this is," he said, a bit too quickly for Mabel's liking. "That star could stand for anything. The sky, the night - astronomy -"
He bit his lip.
But Mabel still kept defending the star. "What's with you and Gideon?" she demanded. "He's perfectly harmless."
"He's all you ever talk about."
"Well, excuse me if I'm trying to protect him from Pacifica Pines -"
"Mabel!" Mason scowled; the blue light grew an inch or two bigger. "You don't need to protect him from Pacifica. She's not evil."
"And how would you know that Pacifica Pines isn't evil?" Mabel demanded. "Do you have a crush on her or something?" She gagged. "I hope not."
"Why would I have a crush on her?" Mason's scowl deepened. "What's with you and assuming who I like?"
"What's with you not liking Gideon?"
"I already told you! He's all you EVER talk about! Gideon this, Gideon that -"
But Mabel stopped listening - her eyes had noticed the ball of light in Mason's hands. It was growing dangerously bigger with every other word her brother said, and he didn't notice.
"Mason," she began, urgency lacing her voice.
Mason didn't stop. "Will you quit - "
"The light!" Mabel cried.
Her brother opened his mouth, ready to snap at her, until he realized what was happening and looked down at his hands.
The ball of light was still growing bigger and bigger with every passing second.
