I paced the halls, my feet echoing throughout the vacant castle. "It's going to be ok" repeated in my mind; tears slowly slipped from my eyes.As I pulled out my wand, I entered the bottom area of the Astronomy tower. Muffled voices came from the platform above me; it sounded like Draco and Dumbledore. Harry's back was in front of me; I took leisurely steps until my foot hit a telescope part on the floor.
Rapidly, Harry turned to me, his wand now facing me. With a nonchalant expression, he put one finger to his lips and pointed his wand up through the gaps in the platform and at Draco. With shaking hands I kept my wand pointed at Harry as I walked closer; he wasn't going to nearly kill Draco again on my watch.
Keeping a close eye on Harry, I stepped towards where he was staring up at Draco and Dumbledore. Draco shook as he faced his wand towards Dumbledore. What was he doing?
"Draco...you are no assassin..." Dumbledore softly said, his eyes fixed on him. "Forgive me Draco but these actions you undertook were so weak, your heart couldn't really have been in them."
"He trusts me!" Draco said, his tone laced with disgust, "I was chosen."
My fear became a reality as Draco pulled up his sleeve, revealing The Dark Mark. "No..." I whispered to myself as Harry stared wide eyed at Draco.
Before I could try and get to Draco, Harry grabbed my arm. "Please (Y/N)," He whispered, "Don't go up there."
Suddenly, rustling of furniture started to echo throughout the tower. "There are others," Dumbledore said, confusion in his voice, "How?"
"The Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirements, I've been mending it."
"And it has a sister cabinet? A twin?"
"Borgin and Burkes. They form a passage." Draco admitted.
"Draco, years ago I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices." Dumbledore said, "Please let me help you-"
"I don't want your help." Draco spat, " Don't you understand? I have to do this. I have to kill you." His voice now laced in fear and pain.
"Or he's going to kill (Y/N). And then he's going to kill me"
"Draco stop!" I shouted as I ran up to the upper platform before Harry could get me, tears running down my face. He turned towards me; his face lost the fearful demeanour and became soft. All the pieces had come together; it all made sense now.
At the same instance a group of Death Eaters rushed up the opposite staircase. Bellatrix stood tall as she took the place at the front of the group. Draco quickly faced them, his stance became strong again as he turned towards Dumbledore and desperately tried not to look at me.
"Well...look what we have here." Bellatrix announced, her mouth slightly forming a smug grin.
"Draco please look at me." I exclaimed. I needed him to turn to me; I needed him to listen.
"Restrain her." Bellatrix said to tall Death Eater who also had a grin on his face. He walked over and aggressively grabbed my arms, keeping me from trying to get to Draco. Immense pain travelled up my arms from the tight grip he used. "Let go of me." I shouted, trying me best to get out of his hold.
"So this is the girl." Bellatrix said as she grabbed my face in her hands, inspecting both sides like I was an inanimate object. "Daughter of cowards, I don't know what Draco sees in you."
"Draco please listen to me. Please don't do this." I shouted, tears streaming down my face from anger and pain.
"Draco do it" Bellatrix hissed
"Draco don't"
"Come on Draco."
"Draco please you aren't a bad person." I cried
"Draco now." Bellatrix shouted
"No." A voice echoed from the shadows. Snape slowly walked out, the whole tower falling silent and staring at him.
"Severus." Dumbledore stated, his eyes slowly looked through the gap at where Harry had been watching this occur. He turned to face me before staring back at Snape at stating, "Please."
"Avada Kedavra."
Dumbledore's lifeless body fell from the Astronomy Tower. Cheers escaped the Death Eaters mouths as they took to the balcony, sending sparks from their wands as though it was a celebration.
The Death Eater who had a hold on me threw me to the ground, enabling me to fall on my already bruised arms. My brain fogged; what had I just witnessed?
The Death Eaters escaped the tower, Draco joining them as I could slightly see his head turning back. I stood up slowly, making my way down to the lower end of the tower.
"Harry..." I whispered, my voice breaking silently. He looked at me dumbfounded for a second before rushing out of the Astronomy Tower.
We ran throughout the castle, following the shrieks of joy and commotion. At every instance, glass breaking and shouting could be heard. We ran out into the forest as suddenly Hagrid's hut was hit, bursting into flames instantly.
"Snape." Harry exclaimed, Snape and Draco turned to face us. Draco looked longingly at me, turning also to Snape as Harry continued to shout.
"Go to her quickly." Snape nonchalantly said.
In an instance Draco grabbed me, holding me tightly in his arms. "Draco it's ok." I whispered to him as his body slightly shook in my arms. "You aren't a bad person."
"(Y/N) I'm so sorry. I didn't want to become this." He said through small sobs, his face now looking at me, "I couldn't stop it, it went too far and then he...he threatened your life-"
"Draco stop." I interrupted, grabbing his hand in mine. "You've been caught up in his horrible world but you proved on that Astronomy Tower you don't belong in it.
Silence fell between us as Draco looked down at our entwined hands. He pulled up my sleeve, revealing the harsh marks the Death Eater had left. "He still found some way to hurt you when all this time I've been trying to protect you."
"Draco we could escape. We could leave, whatever we have to do to be together and protect each other." I said, a slight hint of hope in my voice.
"(Y/N) I can't let there be another chance where you could get hurt. I've got the mark, I'm not good for you anymore."
I held his face in my hands, "You were never good for me Draco, but I wouldn't have had it any other way." We kissed, Draco slightly pulled away, taking off his ring in the process.
"Look after this for me and when...if it's safe to see each other again, please give it back. I love you." Draco stated as he slowly started to follow Snape again.
"I love you too."

Me and Harry slowly made our way through the silent crowd. We stood at the front, Dumbledore's body laying on the soft grass. Harry dropped down next to his body as I stood silent next to Hermione and Ron, their facial expressions mixed with fear and pain, like everyone else in the crowd. Professor McGonagall lifted up her lit wand and the crowd followed as we said farewell to the most selfless Headmaster.

AHH THAT'S IT!!!
I can't believe I have really finished this book! I honestly have loved every minute of writing it and I hope you guys have too. Draco Malfoy/Tom Felton will always be my first crush and I'm grateful to have had my vision of a love interest appreciated by others.
One thing I wanted to say was if you are thinking of writing, DO IT. Don't let other's opinions and self doubt get in the way. Appreciate the gift of imagination and run with it. (Also don't leave for 2 years and then finish it lol I'm sorry).
I hope to stay somewhat active on this account so tag me in any Draco fanfics or any type of writing you partake in and I hope to give you great feedback like you have done with me.
Thank you!!!!
