The final bell of the school day rang, signifying the end of the first week of school. The multitude of students poured out of their stuffy classrooms and flooded the halls. Among these students was the notorious, Mathias Køhler. The fifteen year-old had just started the tenth grade, and so far, all was going well. All of his teachers seem nice, he hadn't received any homework yet, and tonight was his first time at his new job. It looks as if the sophomore year was going to treat Mathias just fine. Though, the same could not be said for his two best friends...

Gilbert Beilschmidt was your average popular teen. He's practically the king of the tenth grade. He's got tons of friends, a sick car, and a hot girlfriend. What else could a fifteen year-old ask for? Probably a way to get out of detention this afternoon. During sixth period, one of the algebra teachers had caught Gilbert cutting study hall with some friends. Now he had to make up for this by spending two hours in detention. Luckily, he'd be spending this time with his and Mathias' best friend, Alfred F. Jones.

Alfred F. Jones had moved to this small Queens neighborhood from Canada over the summer. At first, he seemed like just some cocky annoying new kid, but eventually people were able to warm up to him, and he too started to become tenth grade royalty. However, today did not help his reputation improve one bit. In his eighth period astronomy class, Alfred had gotten into a heated argument with one of his peers, resulting in his teacher giving him two hours in detention as well.

The three boys met up with each other right outside of the school's lost n' found. They had designated it as their hangout spot, since it was super close to the vending machines and also a nice distance away from any classrooms.

"So like, what's the plan, dudes?" Alfred asked, leaning against the wall.

Mathias gave him a confused look. "Plan? What plan?"

"Well, Al and I are both in detention. We were thinking that maybe you could wait around for us, then we go over to that Chinese place that just reopened. It is a Friday after all." Gilbert said, pulling out his phone and sending a couple texts. It was a custom for the boys to go out to eat, then go to Mathias's house and play video games, every weekend.

"Shit. I forgot." Mathias sighed, "I have work tonight, I can't."

Both Alfred and Gilbert were dumbfounded. Work? Mathias? Were they hearing that right?

"Hold up..." Alfred spoke, "You have a job? Literally where? The Lego factory?"

The Danish friend rolled his eyes. "No, but I wish. I'm a babysitter now!"

Alfred and Gilbert exchanged looks, then burst into laughter. "Aw man dude, we gotta go. Have fun changing diapers tonight!" Alfred shouted, as the two boys ran off.

Mathias hopped out of his mom's car and slowly made his descent down the block. It was getting dark, and he didn't want to have any trouble while finding his client's home. He looked around for a house that matched the address he had on his phone.

After a few more minutes of walking, he was able to find it. It was a nice house, average sized for the ones in that particular area. There was a dying garden out front, guarded by a few gnomes and a chain link fence. Mathias tried opening said fence, but it happened to be locked. The Dane would not let a fence get the best of him, so he skillfully hopped over it. He walked up the patio steps, and didn't even have to knock before a platinum blond teen opened the door, seemingly pissed off.

"You know I gave you my number. You could've just texted me to let you in." The blond said, as he took the Dane's jacket and hung it on the coat hanger. "I'm Lukas. I'll probably be back around three. Kid's upstairs. His bedtime is twelve, and don't let him eat anything other than what I laid out on the table. Same goes for you."
