Below are Questions and Answers from our conversation with young tapz.
Tell us who you are, where you're from and what you do for a living?
Young tapz: My name is "Young Tapz" I just turned 21 year old and i am from Wilmington Delaware, I make music and i am a social media influencer.
Tell us your story from before the music, when did it all start?
Young Tapz: My life has always revolved around music, since I can remember I've been singing and writing music but never took it seriously until about 2 years ago. Before the music I was a kid in high school working a job and just writing, never recorded in an actual studio before.
What were the struggles you faced trying to get your music out there in the beginning?
Young Tapz: Struggles... oh man i could sit here and talk about every single struggle for an upcoming artist. Some struggles I faced were all the doubts, the losing friends, and even family to get where i wanna be. Another struggle is also getting someone to stick when there are so many people trying to do the same thing so you need to find ways to stick out, you can sit in a room of 1,000 people but trying to find a way how people will remember you out of everyone.
Which song was that one?
"Hellcat".
When it blew up what was the first thing you thought?
When We dropped hellcat about a year ago with the official video gathering more than 750k views and another video making the worldstar youtube page also gathering over 300k views in less than a year. When I saw the numbers on that video going up organically I started to work harder. I know that people are watching and we are growing on a daily basis.
How many artists have you collaborated with so far?
I've collaborated with a good amount of artists in the hip-hop community such as Lucky3rd, MattOX, YBN Almighty Jay, Squidnice and many more artists.
How big is your team?
My family is my team, My 2 brothers are my managers and my parents are my motivation and keep me going!
What is the best part of doing what you're doing and what's the part you hate most?
The best part of what i do is that i get to travel to different places and I get to meet new people and run into people who actually listen to my music. I feel like it's a blessing to be able to work with so many people and be able to make music that people enjoy and can relate to. I'm a positive person, I feel like if you hate anything about what you do then you shouldn't be doing that in the first place, so i don't hate anything about what i do, i love making music for all of my supporters and have all the fun in the world doing that. I am addicted to making music. Being able to express yourself on an instrument and having all of the people listen and support your dream is such a blessing.
IN CONCLUSION:
Young Tapz Says;
I would like to thank everyone who is supporting My movement and my dream and my team for working everyday with new ways to set us apart from everyone and trying our best to continue making music and entertaining the people with quality and we will keep working until we reach the top.
