I woke up not feeling well.
My head is feeling dizzy.
That's why I called my secretary and told her na i-cancel lahat ng meetings at appointment ko ngayong araw dahil hindi muna ako papasok.
At ngayon ay nandito ako ngayon sa may garden sa likod ng bahay ko. Nagpaluto lang ako ng sopas kay manang fel at hinihintay ko na lang itong maluto.It's still early. I check my wrist watch and I was right it's 6:24 AM in the morning. Gusto ko sanang mag jogging kanina pero medyo nanghihina ang katawan ko.
Nakaupo lang ako dito sa labas, at nagbabasa ng libro, feeling the heat of the morning sun kissing my skin. Ang sarap talaga mag babad sa araw tuwing umaga. Ayaw ko namang mahiga lang at magmukmok sa kwarto, mas nanghihina ako. And the heat of the morning sun is helping me, mas gumagaan ang pakiramdam ko. Idagdag mo pa ang sariwang hangin na nanggagaling sa puno.
"Here," napabaling kaagad ako sa nagsalita no'n and there I saw Greg na nilalapag ang mangkok ng sopas sa harapan ko.
"Where's manang fel?" I asked. Bakit siya naghatid neto dito?
"She's preparing food for sunny," he said talking about my golden retriever dog.
"Okay," sabi ko na lang at sisimulan na sanang kainin ang sopas na niluto ni manang fel nang mapansin ko'ng hindi pa siya umaalis at nakatingin lang sa akin.
I put the spoon down and looked at him with my forehead creased.
"What are you still doing here?" I asked.
He just shook his head and left. But before that I heard him whispered 'saying thank you after receiving the food is a basic etiquette.'What's with this guy and his choice of words? I just shook my head at ipinagpatuloy na lang ang pagkain sa sopas.
After eating and drinking the medicine manang fel gave me ay naligo na ako at nagbihis.I was checking emails and at the same time thinking of what to do today when I heard someone knocked.
Confused, I open the door and there I saw Greg standing in front of me. He looked at me from head to toe then his forehead creased and suddenly cleared his throat as if something just bothered him.
I looked at my clothes. I'm wearing a white spaghetti strap and a high waisted shorts exposing my collarbones and my slim legs. I don't want to look sick wearing pajamas. I heard him cleared his throat again at kaagad akong napabaling sa kaniya.
"What?" I asked him.
"I have to go somewhere," aniya.
Ok?
So what?
"Then?" tanong ko nakatingin pa rin sa kaniya ng nakakunot ang noo.
"Magpapaalam lang ako. Knowing you girls you're always suspicious," he said not looking at me.
"Look, I don't care kung saan ka pupunta and I'm not one of those GIRLS you are talking about," I said getting annoyed.
He chuckled.
"Oh yeah? Is that so? So hindi ka manghihinala kung saan ako pumupunta sa tuwing lalabas ako? I clearly remembered YOU asking ME reasons why you should trust me," he said grinning.
I just rolled my eyes at him. Isasara ko na sana ang pinto ng nagsalita siya. "Get well soon and please wear something decent," narinig kong sabi niya bago siya umalis.
