"You're mine and I'm yours"
The words Alejandro had told Alvaro after he asked the question swirled around his head as he happily hummed along to Bryson tiller. The senior was now at home about to start his and Alejandro's assignments. The smaller had fought Ale for the assignments basically making a big deal out of it until the taller gave him.
"Algebra first" Alvaro muttered , quickly doing his problems along with Alejandro's, slipping the sheets of paper in a binder.
The small male did that over and over for various assignments until it was 2 a.m . By the time he was done, he felt as if his eyes were bleeding........ the sad part is..... that was just the beginning.
"Here you go" Alvaro muttered to Alejandro, giving him his binder filled with homework.
"Alv why do you look sluggish?" Alejandro asked, eyeing the boy.
Alvaro's eyes had dark bags under them, he was slouching deeply and he didn't even bother to properly tie the strings on his joggers.
"I'm fine" Alvaro whispered, patting the male's shoulder and walking off to his first period.
"Alv....Alv , ALVARO" Robert yelled , causing the boy to jump up out of his slumber.
"What?" Alvaro whined, wiping the side of his mouth to take away possible drool.
"Class is over" Robert said softly , worry filling his heart about the boy.
"Oh..." Alvaro mumbled getting up and walking away before Robert can question him. Alvaro wasn't used to staying up past midnight and it's been that way since freshman year.
For example , after the party at Mattia's house when he was recovering for a total of three days. Unlike the party where his only requirement was to have fun, assignments required thinking especially when you had to write a 6,000 word essay on the importance of the environment.
"Bebe are you okay?" Alejandro whispered into Alvaro's ear. Alv was sitting at the lunch table staring off into space as his body felt like sleep was pushing and pulling his like waves. He had his elbow propped up on the table and his face resting in his palm. He was at the lunch table with Alejandro, kairi , Mattia , Robert and Hunter. The five had started eating lunch together about a week ago and they've been enjoying each other's company ever since.
"Huh? Yeah I'm fine" the boy smiled.
"Alv what time did you go to bed last night?" Kairi asked from across the table.
"Uhh I don't know" Alvaro responded, choosing to lie to avoid getting scolded.
"Alvaro" Kairi growled
"Maybe at one but it's only because I was up watching anime" the boy lied once again but it was convincing enough to fool everyone at the table.
"Alv you gotta stop watching anime so late, you know your body needs its rest" Kairi sighed. If it wasn't obvious, Kai was like the mother of the new former group, automatically making Mattia the dad.
"Yeah I know, I'll try to stop" Alvaro smiled, laying his head on Alejandro's shoulder.
✨ONE WEEK LATER✨
"Alvaro are you sure you wanna take these?" Julio asked looking at his little cousin.
"Yeah, I'm not gonna get hooked, I just need them to help me stay up, I have a very big test coming up" Alvaro responded, lying about the last part. The actual reason the boy was about to purchase the meds was simply because doing his and Alejandro's work was hard. It was almost impossible even but he refused to back out on the agreement especially since Alejandro would come over his house whenever the younger requested. Alvaro wasn't sure what was making him want to keep up the activities but all he knew was that he didn't want to lose Alejandro, he had taken a major liking to the boy and was now somewhat addicted to him.
"Alright Alv, take one every night you'll need to be up okay? DO NOT take more than that Alvaro, if you don't have to study for whatever this test is , don't take the pills, you can get hooked on them" Julio instructed, passing Alvaro the small medicine cup filled with white pills.
"Thanks" Alvaro smiled going into his pocket to pass Julio the four hundred dollars but Julio stopped him.
"You're making Aunty proud, that's all the pay I need" Julio said softly "take care fam" the older male added before jumping into his car and speeding off.
Alvaro took a deep breath and looked at the bottle in his hand.
"Ritalin" Alvaro whispered , reading the name of the drug that would help him be able to handle double his work load and not feel like he's going to die. "I hope you know I love you Ale" Alvaro muttered, getting in his car and leaving the empty parking lot that he had met Julio in.
On the other side of town, Alejandro was at a party having the time of his life. He didn't have assignments to worry about, he didn't have a game until the following week and his plans to ask alvaro to be his boyfriend was set..... what could go wrong?
Well alcohol, drugs and young teenagers don't mix well. Unfortunately, Mattia wasn't the one accompanying the curly haired boy, but instead he was hanging out with two of his teammates, Roshaun and Corbyn. Corbyn was a friend of Daniel's but he seemed more genuine than anyone else on their team outside of Alejandro's friends. Corbyn was an honor roll student, a singer and a caring person which made everyone wonder why he hung out with someone like Daniel.
What people didn't know was that Daniel and Corbyn were related and quite frankly, the boy was more like Daniel than anyone cared to realized. Corbyn was cruel but he did his deeds in private, he wasn't one to broadcast his damage but he'd rather watch from afar as it unfolded.
"Hey Ale you want another drink?" Roshaun asked a very intoxicated Alejandro. The boy simply nodded and his two friends got up to go to the kitchen. When they left, a certain brunette came to sat next to the dazed boy.
"Hey Alejandro" she greeted, putting her hand on his thigh.
