Alvaro walked through the quiet halls to his locker to empty it of its contents. The senior had decided he wouldn't come back to school until graduation day when he'd walk across the stage as valedictorian. Alvaro took a deep breath before putting in his combination. He shook his head , ridding himself of any negative thoughts and opened the locker. He slowly opened his eyes and saw his textbooks sitting neatly in his locker, contrasting the way it was drowned in photos the last time he was there. The male grabbed his books as quick as he could so he'd go unnoticed but what he didn't know was that everyone would leave school early- when Alvaro was there, type early. So when the bell rung and students filled the halls , Alvaro was shocked. He was shocked because he didn't expect anyone out especially since today was supposed to be constant double periods.
"Shit Alv I forgot today was an early day" Kairi rambled running to stunned boy. A few People have Alvaro sympathetic looks while others snickered at him. The Peruvian smiled softly and shook his head.
"It's fine, imma go though, I have a book I wanna finish" Alvaro said giggling lightly. Kairi smiled at how strong Alvaro was being and pulled the boy into a hug.
"I love you" Kairi mumbled
"I love you too" Alvaro whispered, pulling away from the embrace. He saw kairi's face go from one of content to a scowl. Kairi wasn't looking at him but rather, behind him. Instinctively, alvaro turned around and saw Alejandro standing there with roses. Before he could say anything Alejandro started talking.
"I was going to go by your house later to drop these off but I saw you and I couldn't wait" Alejandro blushed.
"Too bad he isn't living there right now you dumb shit" Kairi rolled his eyes. Alvaro looked at Kairi with a disappointed frown. "What? It's true" Kairi muttered , looking away.
"Maybe we should give them some privacy piccolo" Mattia chuckled, dragging the small male who was protesting against leaving Alvaro with a 'demon'.
Alvaro giggled at how protect Kairi was being and finally looked at Alejandro once again. By now, they had captured an audience once again. This time people were hoping that Alvaro would reject Alejandro for payback.
"Thank you" Alvaro muttered taking the roses. "But I don't forgive you" Alvaro added, throwing the roses in a garbage can. He felt tears well up in his eyes and he swallowed the lump in his throat.
"Alv I- baby I didn't have a choice I'm-"
"Don't call me baby Alejandro, it's Romero remember?" Alvaro interjected , venom seeping from each word. Alejandro winced at Alvaro's harsh tone and gulped.
"Alv please just liste-"
"No bro, fuck you and just leave me alone okay?" Alvaro snapped, pushing passed Alejandro and walking away.
"MY FAMILY IS BROKE...." Alejandro yelled causing gasps to erupt through the halls. Alvaro stood in place, shock taking over his body. Being broke isn't something you do in this school , you'll become a laughing stock. Alvaro turned around and gave Alejandro a sympathetic look.
"W-What?" Alvaro croaked out.
"My family Alv, we're basically broke that's why I needed to raise my grades and get a scholarship" Alejandro slowly walked up to Alvaro until he stood right in front of him. "and uhhhm that's what Katie had over me" the boy said quietly. "I'm really sorry, please forgive me" Alejandro whispered, his eyes filling with tears.
"Alejandro I-"
