Cookie and Mashed Potato immediately started barking, startling me. I was confused as to why they were until I heard the front door shut.

I got up from my office chair and crept towards the entrance, making sure someone wasn't breaking in. Potato was jumping onto the man standing in the entrance with his suitcase.

There, being greeted by our twelve-year-old border collie and our four-month-old chow chow. "Oh, I'm getting too old for you guys jumping on me!"

I laughed and gave my wonderful husband my own greeting. "You are not too old! Thirty is a great age!"

I picked up Mashed Potato and gave him a big kiss on his head. "You're absolutely adorable!" I set him down and he and Cookie went back to lay down.

"I've missed you so much!" I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him another kiss. "Well, why wouldn't you?"

He chuckled and crouched down, face to face with my round stomach. "I can't wait to see my beautiful child in just a couple months!"

That's right. I was currently seven months pregnant and while I knew what the gender was, Zack had no clue.

"Well, I have something for you." He stood up and followed me into my office. I handed him an envelope and in it, was one of the two names we had come up together with for our baby.

One was a girl name and the other, a boy. I encouraged him to open it up and he ripped the seal open, pulling the card out.

He opened it and took a quick glance at it. "A girl?" I nodded and he grinned. "I'm gonna have my own little girl!"

The way he reacted the things was absolutely adorable and it's one of the many things I love about him.

"Everleigh Jane Merrick is going to have a great daddy and some great uncles." He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.

"Well, some pretty stupid ones. They left me at a gas station and one of the venues. They were an hour away when they realized I wasn't on the bus."

I had to hold my laughter back while he pouted. "At least they came back for you?" He rolled his eyes. "I blame Jack for both situations. And then, they spent most of the tour arguing over who was going to be The Godfather!"

I couldn't hold it back anymore. "Do we have to choose one of them?" I composed myself. "It's one of them or a twelve year old. And I don't think Malachi would be capable of being one to our kid at twelve."

He sighed. "I think Alex would be the best fit. Because then he has Lisa to keep him responsible." We went and sat on the sofa together.

"I think that's a great idea. But another one is just cuddling and relaxing because I missed my husband while he was on tour."

I cuddled into his side and sighed happily. Once this child is here, my life will be completely perfect. And I couldn't ask to change anything.
