~Alyssa~
The days were counting down and Zack's birthday was inching closer. I was working on saving up my money for his surprise and not spending any."Aly!" I walked into the kitchen and looked for Mom. "What's up?" She shut the fridge and looked at me. "Would you mind running to the store for me? I have a list."
She pointed to the paper sitting on the counter. I picked it up and scanned over it. "Yeah. Can I have your card?"
She raised an eyebrow. "You have your own card. Why can't you use it?" I folded the list and put it into my pocket.
"I already told you, I'm saving for Zack's birthday." She brushed her hair back. "What exactly is this surprise you're working on for him?"
I pursed my lips. "I set up an appointment for both of us to get tattoos together on Monday. He's been wanting to get a matching tattoo with me for awhile and I figured it would be time."
She smiled. "That's nice," I nodded and she walked over to her purse, pulling her wallet out and handing me her card.
"Just get what's on the list." I took it and headed out to my car. As soon as I turned it on, Alex's voice filled my car. I ejected the CD and put it in it's case.
I made my way to the store and grabbed a basket as I walked in. While I was walking towards the bread, I noticed the guys standing by the flowers.
Alex was pointing at different bouquets and Zack looked frazzled. Rian pulled the two somewhere else while Jack was left there.
I walked over and observed the flowers. "I didn't realize picking flowers was such a difficult decision." He looked up with a panicked look.
"Aly! Hi." He looked around and smiled at me. "Hi, Jack. What are you guys up to?" The rest of them returned, surprised to see me.
"Alyssa! What are you doing here?" I faced Rian. "My mom sent me on a mission. Now, might I ask you the same thing?"
Zack looked like he wasn't sure what to say. "We're looking for flowers for my mom. It's her birthday." My attention moved to Alex.
"That's nice. Well, I'll leave you guys to finish your shopping." I waved to them and raised an eyebrow.

I watched Alyssa disappear down an aisle and looked at Alex. "I didn't expect her here." Rian nodded. "I hope she didn't hear you."We were here shopping for Mrs. Gaskarth but I made a comment on if I should get flowers for Alyssa when I propose.
Jack pat my shoulder. "She came up to me after you guys left to see the cake mixes." I rubbed my face. "Shit, I gotta figure this out or it's gonna mess with my head more than it is."
We finished our shopping and went back to Alex's.
