I'd rather be struck by lightning than to be caught in this situation.

I should've stayed hidden in the woods, tending animals just like Brian would do but I know that my nosy head knows no boundary.

Dominique stood still as her body  trembled and her eyes gloomed with noticeable fear.

The two guards are just a few steps away from us.

Clack clack clack

Their footsteps light and soft against the damp ground.

Slowly, I took a step backward, then another one until I finally settled on the darkest part of our tent.

"Lady Dominique, we are entranced with your presence."

A shallow gasp escaped from her mouth as she clasped her arm around her body as if someone pinch her unknowingly.

"Good evening boys, it is late. You know that bad things that comes out at night.
Be careful."

She kept her composure well or atleast  she tries to.

One of the guard went closer to her.
In conjunction to his action, she took a step back.

"The only thing that comes at night is something you can't really see.
Want to know what that is?"

"No, thank you."

I winced.

She flashed a stern smile as she grabbed a bottle of opened wine in the the cupboard.

"Are you sure you're okay?
You seemed so tense."

She popped the bottle open and grabbed two silver chalice behind the cupboard and poured the spiritless wine.

"I am fine, do not fret."

I snucked myself further at the edge of the room.
The moonlight is being obscured on where I stand and so I perfectly blend in the shadow.

One of the man chuckled behind her.
His eyes trained below her knees up until her bosom.

Oh brother, that is a violation of a great degree.

But nonetheless, I stayed composed.
The older and taller guy sat beside the cupboard, sipping his wine.

"Tomorrow we set before dawn."

Dominique pursed her lips and poured wine to her own cup.

"We talked to your father last night.
About that jolly good-looking fellow we caught five days ago."

"What about him?"

Her hand tightly held the cup and looked briefly towards my location.

"He is not a human."

"How can you say?
He looks normal to me."

The older soldier murmured something to his lackey and abruptly went outside to guard our tent.

He signaled Dominique to move by patting the chair beside him.

"Looks can be deceiving." and he scoots a bit closer to Dom.
"We're here for the bounty my lady.
High class goods pay well, specially for a fairy's head."

"Pardon?"

My eyes squinted.

"There is a huge possibility that he is not an ordinary fairy but an ancient one maybe."

"Is - is this about the fairy that is spying around Odeon?
You don't have enough evidences. He maybe got blonde hair and blue eyes but it doesn't mean he's one."
