Taehyung didn't budge, he just looked straight at Jungkook contemplating if he's going to say something or not.

Jungkook glance towards the knife in his hands. The killer in him transpires shoutings to kill the woman right there and now but the other side of him, the human in him - if it's really there, were shouting back that he shouldn't hurt or even touch her ever again.

Shouldn't hurt her ever again?

Feels like a promise, a broken promise that got old neglected by years.

Jungkook scoffed, tracing his fingers towards the blade and intentionally earn a little cut in his right thumb causing him to smile.

The excitement to see blood again pump in his whole body. The smile in his lips didn't leave, when in fact it became wider and wicked as minutes past by. His mind forced him to focus on one thing only... her blood - Y/N's blood, while he tastes his own bright and red liquid into his lips imagining it as the woman's.

Promising to himself that soon, he will have a taste of her in every way, Jungkook pulls out another five of ordinary spears from the drawer beside the bed before he abruptly throws the daggers following each other as they landed on the same target point.

The somewhat 'special' throwing knife that bears a design of Tiger lily was circled by the other typical knives. His eyes landed again on the flower but swiftly take his glance off of it.

Jungkook flops himself to the bed, making a mental note to hide that possessed thing. He surely knows that he will contemplate what to do every time he will see that 'special' but unknown thing to him.

He didn't know when or where he got it, but when he woke up from a room which he believes are his, he noticed a black box from his bedside table that not takes him long before he opened it out of curiosity. The small but convenient set of three spears was carefully placed in a small briefcase that was slightly bigger than the spears. It has a foam that traces the exact shape of the daggers, protecting its blade and position.

When his eyes carefully scanned the blades, he felt something. He definitely felt something but never put his fingers on it. Jungkook tried to find the answers or identified that certain 'feelings' but as time goes by without success, he forgot about it.

As Jungkook's mind jumps in one thing to another, Taehyung just keeps his eyes to the younger. Silently but eager to know what on his best friend's mind.

The silence that shapes the whole atmosphere of the room got interrupted when a knock resonates against the door again. Taehyung walks towards the dark wood as he swings it open, another man in his late forties reveals himself in front of their eyes but instead it dressed by a clean ensemble. Plain but neat long sleeves that tucked inside his black trousers partnered with equally black tassel loafers shoes, in his wrist is a delicate black leather watch.

"Kim... Jeon" says the man before putting out his hand to a handshake which Taehyung returned. "So what did you need me for? Where is the patient?"

"She's on the other room still resting" Taehyung answered when he noticed the Jungkook didn't have the intention to talk.

"I need her awake to fully examine, let's wait for her to wake up. On the other hand, you can tell me what you guys noticing from her-"

"She's mute..." Jungkook interrupts the man. "Well, we thought she was."

Dr. Byun hummed, his right hand under his chin. "Elaborate it more, Jeon. And tell me everything, you know you can trust me"

The man knows about the business Jeon Jungkook always do in the past years, how can he not? When he was the one to scrutinize the young man about his hunger and crave for blood.

"I lost control once again. One night, I pay her a visit to her apartment, just wanted to scare her a little bit. When I hovered above her, she silently cried. Her eyes are empty staring back at me like she saw something from her mind as the tears continuously drop and before I knew it, she talks, mumbling incoherent but at the same time clear words, begging me not to do things with her." Jungkook explained looking up to the man as he remembers that night when he first heard her voice.

"And last night when I killed the person that threatened her life, it happened again. She muttered some words and even my name."

The man in his forties clicked his tongue before looking at Taehyung, "I think I know what she suffered from but this will remain uncertainty until I talk to her"

"Based on what you said, Jungkook. It was more likely to say that she suffered from psychogenic mutism. People who suffered from this are as simple as refusing to speak but they actually feel physically unable to speak." The man's gaze shifts from Taehyung to Jungkook, explaining everything slowly.

"From what I heard, she begs about something and you felt like she saw some visions which I think are hallucinations from her past. You see, this psychogenic mutism is caused by anxiety or past trauma. It has a high chance that the events that occurred to her these past days triggered her unknown trauma and memories that cause this woman to speak again."

Jungkook glides his hands to his hair, rubbing his nape at the end. He was frustrated and confused. The whole room was tinted with silence and Taehyung takes this chance to say something.

"Dr. Byun, the patient is not yet conscious. You can wait for her in the living room and make yourself comfortable." Taehyung says which the older man understands the meaning of those words and promptly leave the room.

Taehyung walks towards the other cabinet, he swiftly swung it open to grab a plain brown file which he hands to Jungkook.

Thus, Jungkook didn't say anything and scanned the whole files with some pictures inside of it.

"Dr. Byun's conjecture makes sense, Jungkook and I think she has a connection from your past" Jungkook eyes met Taehyung's before his gape drop to scrutinize the old picture of a little girl that he thinks he saw somewhere.
