It is Sunday and we're finally going back home.

Coming through as the savior of the day, again, Jeremy chartered a jet for us.

Mother is already settled inside the private jet, looking like she could murder anyone that would dare talk to her or try to take my father's urn from her arms.

Luka slaps Jeremy on the shoulder. "You need to come visit to get rid of that half-body cowboy tan and meet a hot California girl." Then, he raises an eyebrow at the way that Jeremy is looking at me. "Another. California girl, man."

I tense up when Luka presses me to him and raises an eyebrow at Jeremy.

The two finally chuckle softly and exchange a manly hug with pats on the back and everything.

Relief.

Luka kisses me on the forehead. "I'll wait for you inside."

I watch as Luka climbs the steps and disappears into the plane, knowing for certain that he will be watching us from a window.

Jeremy and I stare at each other for what seems like a very long time.

"Take care of yourself, little bird. I'll keep in contact."

"You better!" I nibble on my lower lip.

"And Luka's right. You need to come visit... At least for the wedding."

He looks down at his boots. Hands inside his pockets, nodding slowly. "Yeah... Maybe I will."

I nudge him on the chest with a mischievous smile. "You'll get to meet my hot friend, Mina."

Jeremy laughs. "What? That crazy and bossy friend slash cousin of yours?"

I join in his laughter.

"I don't know... I'm probably safer here."

The laughter subsides.

"I'll miss you." I try to sound strong but my voice comes out all broken up.

Jeremy takes my hand, kisses my knuckles and my eyes fill with tears.

When will the crying ever stop? I already cried plenty, just saying goodbye to Gertie.

His free hand reaches up to wipe my tears with his thumb, caressing my cheek in the process. "These tears are mine..."

I nod and look down. "I really want you to be happy."

With a long sigh, Jeremy pulls me in his arms. "Listen... I love you more than anything, Gaby..."

I let out a sob and my tears quickly soak the fabric of his shirt.

"But if I can't have you, I'm okay with Luka. He'll do anything to keep you safe and happy. He's a good man."

Tugging to the shirt on his back, I hide my face in his shoulder, unable to stop shedding tears.

I can't live without Luka... But I love Jeremy, too.

I don't know how that's possible, but I love them both.

Holding my arms, Jeremy makes enough space to cup my face with one hand and look into my eyes.

"I'll always be waiting for you. If you ever need me, one word... Just tell me to come and I'll be at your door in eight hours tops, alright?"

I nod, again.

I have to tell him. I need him to know that he is important to me.

"Jeremy..."
