Karasuno pov

Suga and Daichi were the first to enter the gym. Shocked expressions were on their faces when they didn't see Kageyama or Hinata. They were always the first ones here. Never, and I mean never, had anyone ever gotten to the gym before them unless they were absent from a sickness. Maybe they were both sick? But even them being sick was a rare occurence.

"Hey Daichi...where's the freak duo?" Daichi shrugged. "Hopefully they're just late." Soon, Coach Ukai and the rest of the team soon showed up. Tanaka too noticed that neither Kageyama nor Hinata were there yet. "Hey coach? Where's Hinata and Kageyama?" he turned towards Coach Ukai, and the rest of the team looked at him expectedly. Ukai shook his head and with a grave look on his face, he motioned everyone to team huddle. "I have bad news. Neither of them made it home last night." At this statement, chaos erupted.

Takeda stood there, unsure of what to do with himself, while the others bombarded Ukai with questions. "Are they okay? Can we help look? Did they run away? What happened? Where are they? Are they together?...Are they dead?" Ukai cut them off with a loud, "Be quiet!" Everyone silenced themselves and faced him. "It is very unlikely that they are dead, okay? So stay hopeful. The authorities are looking for them right now. No you cannot help, or you could be in danger too." He paused, as if debating whether or not to tell the team something. He decided to. "The police suspect that they have been kidnapped by Akagi Haruto." There were blank looks on all the boys faces. They didn't remember who that was, as they thought he was put in jail years ago. "He's that serial murderer and rapist that escaped yesterday." Then they remembered. More cries echoed throughout the gym but were soon stopped. "Do you want to hear the rest or not?" Everyone promptly shut up. "Okay! Thank you! While it is not confirmed, there is evidence leading the authorities to believe that it was Akagi who kidnapped them. In the past his previous victims had reported that they had been drugged from behind with a syringe, and near both of their homes the police found two syringes filled with a drug. After testing it in the lab, they discovered it to be the very powerful sleep drug, that Akagi had doctored himself." He could see the kids bursting with questions, so he sighed. "Fine. Talk."

"What?! What's he going to do with them? My precious kouhai! Are they going to be okay? I'm going to look for them! Drugs..?" Ukai sighed and shouted, "This is just what the police suspect! There is a possibility that this is not true." The boys quieted themselves. Finally, Nishinoya spoke up. "...but what if it is?" He had tears brimming in his eyes, and Tanaka and Asahi comforted him. Yachi was straight-out bawling while Kiyoko was trying to comfort her. Suga and Daichi were in shock. Yamaguchi, like Yachi, was also crying, while Tsuki didn't know what to do. Even though he found that shrimp and the King annoying, he didn't want them to go through whatever they were about to go through. No one deserved that.

They tried their best to continue on with practice, but no one was doing well. Even the cold-hearted Tsukishima's blocks weren't as high. It didn't take a genius to figure out that this practice was ineffective, so Ukai excused them for the day.

Meanwhile...

Everything hurted. He didn't want to enter back into the world of pain. He just wanted to sleep. However, his bruised and bloodied body didn't allow that, and he soon woke up, groaning. "Hinata? Oh my god Hinata are you awake? Do you need help getting up?" It was Kageyama. He slowly shook his head and staggered once standing. He felt like hell. He was sore from at least twenty massive bruises on his face, torso, legs, and arms.

Kageyama suddenly got a weird look on his face, and looked away. Hinata started shaking again. But he wouldn't cry. Everything was going to be fine, right? After all, with Kageyama he was invincible. "Ka-Kageyama, it hurts, I dont wanna do that again!" He reached for a hug but Kageyama pulled away. At this his face contorted, and he bit his lip, hard, trying not to cry. "Why? Why? Please...Bakayama, answer me!" But Kageyama still didn't face him. Why was Kageyama avoiding him? Did he do something wrong? Kageyama looked at Hinata with a face of horror. What? Why? Then he realized he was looking past him. Already knowing what, no, who, to expect, Hinata turned around slowly.
