Nico has never felt so uncomfortable in his entire miserable life.
He drummed his fingers nervously on the table. It was a surprise he got the man to agree with him to get out of the rain. Green orbs stared at him with such intensity it felt like his very own sould was being pricked and those eyes were figuring out his inner most secrets. He didn't like that.
What freaked him out more was that those eyes reminded him a lot of a certain troublemaking legacy.
"So..." he trailed off trying -and hence failing- to start a conversation. That wasn't like him. He didn't talk to anyone unless he trusted them, and this guy looked like he could fool you into helping him conquer the world. But his stare agonized him!
The man didn't say a word for a few moments. He sat in a very sophisticated way and slightly smug too, he managed to pull that off despite being drenched in rainwater. Nico was sure the seat his acquaintance was sitting on was wet. He wore a green button-up shirt, trousers and boots.
Nico didn't expect him to talk, atleast not yet, but his expectations failed him.
"You know Sally Jackson?" the man asked, again, boring holes into the child of Hades' sould. Nico rarely felt intimidated, but this person was strange, and powerful. He didn't know how about the last part, but he just did.
"Um...yeah" he answerd unnerved. Maybe he shouldn't have braught him along at all. It wasn't right to talk about Percy's mom to a person he had never met before, Percy should take this, not him.
He seemed to tell he wasn't lying and continued "And her son?"
"I know him" Nico internaly grimaced as he said that. The way things Percy and he were now... not something to bring in a conversation.
"Is he perhaps, any close to the age of..." The green eyed man asked. He paused in the middle of the conversation, contemplating something "...sixteen?" he finished.
Nodding slowly, the man looked away, emotion in his eyes that Nico couldn't read. He was never really good at emotions anyway.
The man had mutterd something but Nico couldn't make out what he was saying. Trying to ease himself, he grabbed and ate a hanful of fries. It was a good thing he chose McDonalds to sit and talk with the person.
"Look, I won't hide that I'm suspicious of who you are and how you know Percy's mom but-" Nico's words died down. He cursed mentaly in his head. Did he really just say Percy's mom?
"Percy?"
"Ah, no! I meant-" Nico felt stupid. He couldn't even lie properly to this guy.
"Percy..."
The man had said that name letting it roll off his tongue. He seemed very intrigued with Sally's son now.
Green eyes stared back at the child of Hades. Nico did his best to hide his discomfort.
He was going to take a sip of his cola when his senses made him stop. Looking over his shoulder, he nearly dropped his drink. The entire place was empty. No one in sight which was quite a sight because they were in McDonalds. His eyes snapped to the man sitting across him. He was looking back at him too. Nico discreetly grabbed the hilt of his sword. He was now convinced that whoever this person was, he was no mortal.
"Keep your stygian blade spawn of Hades"
Nico only gripped the hem tighter in his hand. He glared defiantly at the stranger. It was clear now, the power he felt from the person was rising. It had surpassed the boy by miles.
