It was nighttime when we arrived at Hogwarts, and since Cedric was a Prefect, he went first without me. I met up with Aurora and we rode the carriages to the school. As we entered, Hogwarts looked as beautiful as ever. We went to the Great Hall and took our place at the Hufflepuff table, and Cedric sat next to us. We waited around 30 minutes for the first- years to be sorted, and suddenly everything went dark. Out of no where enters Mad-Eye Moody, only the most famous Auror in the world.
I assumed he was filling in for the Defense Against the Dark Arts job, and I was right. Everyone is convinced that job is jinxed since we have gotten a new teacher for decades.
"I love him," Cedric whispered, and I gained so much more respect for him knowing that he was super against Death Eaters. I don't know what I'd do if he found out about my family...
*10 minutes later*
"Silence!" bellowed Dumbledore, and the room went silent. "I have an exciting announcement to make that I think will make you all very happy."
