I haven't seen Cedric all summer, and let me say, he is looking good. He grew out his brown hair, and he just looks happier. He gave us all a hug, but I swear mine was longer than the rest of my friends. I inhaled his scent, cologne.
"Hey Cedric," I said, not being able to contain my smile because his was just contagious.
"We should go board the train, y/n can sit with me," said Cedric, lightly grabbing my arm and leading me ahead.
As we sat down, the trolley came by and Cedric and I both bought ourselves chocolate frogs.
"How was your summer?" I asked Cedric, genuinely interested.
"It was good, practiced some Quidditch with my dad and visited Paris with my family," He asked, in between bites of his chocolate frog. "Speaking of family, how are you parents holding up?"
I hated talking about my parents. Once Voldemort vanished, all Death Eaters were sent to Azkaban. My parents somehow convinced everyone they were under the Imperious Curse, but I know they would jump at the chance to go save him. "They are fine, I played some Quidditch too, hoping to make the team again."
"You definitely will, you have the talent for it," Cedric said, smiling and I could see the chocolate on his teeth which made me giggle.
"Wait a second," he said, and he held my face in one hand while wiping around my lip in the other. "You have chocolate on your lip."
I could feel my cheeks burning up and my face turning red. Somehow when he touched my cheek, I felt some kind of spark flow through me, as cheesy as that sounds.
