Izuku Midoriya had always been a happy kid.
Yes, he was bullied by Bakugo for being quirkless, but he was so young that he just saw it as Kacchan's way of playing.
As he grew older, he began to realize that his 'friend' was really his bully...
but he didn't mind this, since he had his loving mother by his side, telling him how much she loved him and how amazing he was each and every day.
But when his mother had her life taken from her by a burglar who broke into their house late at night while he was sleeping, (Inko wasn't because we all know adults don't go to sleep at the same time their kids do-)his life quickly went downhill.
Bakugo began being harsher. He was mad at Izuku for not saving Inko, and blamed him. Midoriya now had nobody keeping him from believing Bakugo when he told him he was worthless....
Not to mention the fact that Izuku blamed himself for his mother's death, and thought that he should've been the one dead. Bakugo's bullying also added on to this.
He nearly gave up on his dream of becoming a hero, but he decided that he would continue his journey, in honor of Inko.
Of course, he didn't believe ending his own life counted as giving up on his dreams, so he always kept in mind that he had that as an option.
He was genuinely thinking about doing just that, but he decided to at least wait until he got his letter from UA. He fully expected to be rejected, but to his surprise, he wasn't!
This was the introduction/ backstory chapter to my story.
Character ages: Izuku Midoriya: 16 Shoto Todoroki: 17 Katsuki Bakugo: 17
You can make up the other students' ages, as long as they're anywhere from 15 to 17.
I'll try to update every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This may not be possible since I have school.
