Prologue

"Meri, want to hang out?" Russia asked. 

"Sure!" America answered. 

They walked down the path into the the park, it was beautiful out today. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, the autumn breeze was cool. America thought this day couldn't get any better. 

"So, Meri? How was your day?" Russ asked. 

"Oh? My day was actually pretty good, no test, no shitty lunch, no fights. But this day seems to good to be true, something ought to ruin it." Meri said. 

This pressured Russ, he was nervous. He was about to ask a question that he thought he would never ask anyone before.

"Meri?" Russ said. 

"Hm?" Meri said. 

"Will... will... WILLYOUBEMYBOYFRIEND!?" 

America stopped walking, he froze all together. 'What the actual fuck did he ask me?' he thought. 

"It's okay, I get that you don't want to be my boyfriend." Russia said before America could answer. "I get that you don't like my father, and you don't like me. I know you just see me as a friend but I still wanted to ask-" 

"Wait, Russia!" Meri stopped Russia before he could get further into detail. America grabbed Russia into a hug. "Yes!" he exclaimed. 

Hearing this, Russia felt like the whole world was off his shoulders. Without thinking, Russia passionately kissed America on the lips. (I'm terrible at this stuff sorry lol) America was shocked by this, but he kissed back. A few moments later, they stopped. A thread of saliva was left. America was blushing madly, he didn't know how to react. 

Russia on the other hand, was smirking. He took Meri's hand and kissed it. 

"See you tomorrow." Russ said. He took off before America could say goodbye.

America was didn't move like he was glued to the ground. He waved at Russia as a goodbye. A few minutes later, America rushed home. He was excited to tell his family what happened. If he only knew how much this relationship would change over the year...
