Chapter 7

America yawned as he walked to school. He was tired from the day before, he stayed up all night crying about Russia's new relationship. Meri was near the school when he wiped his face and picked himself so he wouldn't look like a mess.

"What should we do after school today?" Russia asked Philippines. 

"I don't know, go downtown?" Phil suggested. 

"Of course!" Russ said. He held Phil's hand all the way to school but when he saw Meri dragging himself to school Russia stopped. Russ snickered at Meri and tugged on Phil to take a picture. Phil was hesitant but took one, on Russia's phone. Russ pulled Phil's hand and ran off to school where he posted the picture. 

Many countries saw and didn't really care, on the contrary. Most countries were disgusted about Russia's decision. They had no issue with him dating Phil, they had an issue with him cheating. Of course, some countries shipped it. Japan was among them. 

"Hey, Phil!" Japan said happily. She put her arm around her friend. Russia didn't seem to mind, Japan wasn't really a threat to Phil or him. 

"Hi, Japan! We haven't seen each other for a couple of months." Phil said happily. 

"Yea, we should really catch up." Japan said. Phil giggled and hugged her old friend. (Yes, I know Japan ruled over Phil once, so hush) 

"Did you know me and Russ are dating?" Phil asked. 

Japan was surprised, she usually knew about this stuff. "Oh? I didn't know. Congratulations guys..." 

"Thanks! Bye now!" Phil waved and took off with Russia. 

Japan smiled but when Phil and Russ couldn't see her anymore, she frowned. Japan ultimately shipped RusAme with all her heart. (Plot twist) She had seen the drama about Russia cheating on America, but she didn't really know that Russia got over him so fast. Japan spotted America and rushed over to him.

"America- Kun!" Japan yelled and waved her hand to signal him to come over. Meri walked over to Japan. 

"Did you know Russia is dating Philippines!?" Japan whispered shouted. 

This reminded Meri about what happened, Meri bursted into tears in front of everyone. Some countries took out their phones and recorded, while others simply didn't care about Meri. 

"America? Are you alright?" Japan asked with her hand on Meri's back. 

Meri sniffed, "Yea, I'll be fine." Meri said pulling out a fake smile. Japan smiled sadly at America and hugged him. 

"I hope you'll get better soon!" Japan said and walked off. 

Meri waved. "Thanks!" he said. But when Japan turned her back, Meri's face fell. He went to his locker and put away his things. Germany and Poland were next to him. 

"Meri? You good?" Germany asked. 

"Yea, I'm alright..." Meri mustered. 

"Are you sure?" Poland said. "You were just crying." 

"Trust me, I'm fine!" Meri said and pulled a fake smile like before. Germany and Poland believed he was getting better and left him to be alone. America stopped smiling and turned away. He quickly pulled up his sleeve to remind him what a failure he was. Meri looked at his watch, it was almost first period. Meri pulled his sleeve down and thought about therapy. He was going there today, and he was so not ready.
