Welp, I'm fucked.
They caught me right as I was about to finish, I thought to myself with a pout.
"Amira, your behavior today has been completely unacceptable." Mrs.Goulding scolds, her face red with anger.
I quickly made myself look nonchalant once again, staring straight into her glare.
Yea, yea, I know. Isn't it always?
"I don't know what's gotten into you lately." She remarks, a prominent sneer on her face as she speaks.
I smirked and raised a brow at the 'lately', watching her face turn a brighter shade of red, if that's even possible.
"I swear to the lord above..." she started again, but I just tuned her out.
Blah, blah, blah.
Yea, I get it. I should be ashamed of my actions and all that jazz.
I wonder if they'll be able to get it off?
I hope not.
I put a lot of time into planning that prank.
"What is wrong with you?!" she yelled, catching my attention.
I stay silent for a moment, considering my options on a response.
I could a)apologize, be respectful, and probably get myself out of some chores or b)....
"What could it be, I wonder? It couldn't possibly be the fact that I've been stuck in this hell-hole disguised as a 'holy sanctuary' for the past 6 years and I'm sick of listening to you psychos tell me what I can and can't do, could it? Nah. Probably not. Give me a minute to come up with something else." I responded, sarcasm dripping from my glossed lips as I kept my eyes daringly on hers with every word.
Neither of us broke eye contact, but from the corner of my eye I saw the shock on the other nuns faces. I couldn't help but smirk a bit.
Priceless.
It made whatever punishment I'd get worth it.
"The Church of God's Salvation has housed you for 6 years. We have fed and cared for you along with all of the other orphans we have taken in. This is what we receive in return? Disrespect?" Mrs.Goulding ranted, arms crossed and lips in a thin line.
I shrugged in response.
I guess so.
I started to played with my hair, bored of the same old conversation. But, apparently, Mrs.Goulding had enough.
Fists slammed on the desk, making me jump in my chair.
"That's it! If you hate it here so much, then you can leave, Amira! I am sick and tired of you causing trouble in our church! Pack your things. You leave tomorrow morning." She pronounced, catching me by surprise.
On the outside, I rolled my eyes and played with my fingernails. But, on the inside, I was slightly... freaking the fuck out!
Well that was unexpected.
I thought I'd get cafeteria duty or something, not kicked out on the streets!
