"Calling the attention of Ms. Maickee Quinn Rose Cullen of Music 4 section A, please proceed to the Director's office right now." lahat napatingIn sakin as soon as the PA announced my name.
Dahan-dahan naman akong napatayo sabay kuha ng music sheets na nasa desk ko at kaagad tinahak ang daan papuntang D's office. Sa bawat mabigat na hakbang, ramdam na ramdam ko ang mga mata ng mga estudyante sa paligid. Nakatingin lang ako sa floor tiles habang pinapakinggan ang mga sinasabi ng mga estudyante.
"OMG! That's Maickee, right? Ang composer ng bandang The Kings!"
"Ang swerte naman!"
"Bro, kung marunong lang mag-ayos yang si Maickee, panigurado napakaraming manliligaw yan."
"The great Maickee being called in D's office again. How lucky!"
"Di ba siya ang anak ng may-ari ng academy? I wonder how extra her life is."
Great! Sobrang daming positive words ang naririnig ko sa bawat nadadaanan kong mga estudyante but Im not happy at all. I dont deserve such recognitions.
Sobrang daming estudyante ang nakakalat ngayon sa school building dahil sa Open-School Music Festival. Maraming freshmen at sophomore ang nagpapakitang gilas habang napakaraming outsiders naman ang libreng nakakapasok at nanonood. Highlight din kasi ngayong gabi ang free concert ng The Kings kaya paniguradong mas dadami pa ang tao mamaya.
"Maickeeeee. . Come in ." sabi ng Director as soon as I knock on the door. Pagbukas ko ng pinto agad tumambad ang napakapamilyar na babae na nakaupo sa tabi ng Director. The director is already an old man who also happens to be my uncle. Siya ang namamahala ng Music Academy bilang katuwang ng parents ko. The woman sitting near him is the well known music producer of Lopez Entertainment Agency. Ang agency ng The Kings.
"I assume that the paper your holding right now is what I am looking for." panimula ni Ms. Gretchen as soon as I sat down infront of her. I handed her the music sheets and she immediately scanned through the pages.
Napapikit ako habang hinihintay ang susunod na sasabihin ni Ms. Gretch. Ayokong tignan ang reaksiyon niya dahil mas lalo lang akong panghihinaan ng loob. I clasped my hands and nervously rested it on my lap as I waited for my final judgement.
"Huhu, Maickee naman eeh" maiyak-iyak ang tono ni Ms. Gretch kaya alam ko na ibig sabihin nito. "This is not your usual song. It's soooo---"
"Pangit?" ako na ang nagpatuloy
"Ordinary." pagtuwid niya.
"Pinaganda mo pa." I mumbled and she faint a smile.
"It lacks emotion, feeling. Hindi ito ang usual mo. This is definitely not The Kings songs. You know that." she exclaimed and I just shrugged. Kumalma naman agad si Ms. Gretch.
