The tall, brunette boy took his last spike before the ball landed with a very loud thud on the opposite court, earning claps from his coaches and team members. He knew his performance is getting better and better that's why he's getting excited just by the thought of going back to Japan. He'll be able to meet up with his precious Iwaizumi and other ex-volleyball members.

"Nice game," his co-member wearing the 12th jersey tapped his shoulder as his water bottle lost contact with his soft lips.

"Thanks, dude."

"Heard you're going back to Japan?"

"Yeah," Oikawa Tooru took off his sweaty jersey, changing into a new simple shirt. "Pretty excited too."

"Don't forget to buy me an onigiri, 'kay?" Another teammate commented earning multiple laughs from the other boys who are currently changing inside the locker room, especially Tooru.

"Of course!"

Sitting on a nearby bench to take a quick rest, fishing his phone out of his bag, only to see messages from his family's group chat, Aoba Johsai's, and more. He doesn't want to admit it but he's too tired and lazy to check those dispatches but when he's about to hibernate his device, it suddenly vibrated.

Haikyuu Email: One email received

His eyebrow shot up. He doesn't commonly receive notifications from this application so it piqued his interest and curiosity. Tooru opened the email.

From: y/n_haikyuu.com

"Y/N?"

Oh, yeah. That girl from high school. His former neighbor, classmate and let's say, best friend. One of his avid admirers but unique from others because no matter how much he tried pushing her away, she still doesn't give up tailing him.

But why did he receive an email from her? After a good five years without communication, she didn't show up on their graduation, and now she sent a letter? Tooru clicked the email, only to realized that it was a letter later. Meaning, she wrote this five years ago, only to be sent today.

He's just in the middle of the letter but tears are already evident in his eyes, good thing that his teammates are too preoccupied with their businesses. Wiping those teardrops from his eyes, Tooru grabbed his belongings before storming out of the covered gym. His flight is still two weeks away but there's no point in sitting on a corner and wait for it to come.

"Tooru, aren't you going to come with us for din–"

"Sorry, gonna pass!"

With that, he flew out of the venue to grab a taxi, directly to his apartment. He's restless and multiple things are running on his mind,  fingers tapping his phone's screen on the process.

"I need to see Y/N."
