She sits in the chair

A worried look pressed on her face

Her body language screaming "save me"

The headphones in her ears

Do little to block out the pain

She feels as she stays here

Going home is no better

Little happiness can be found

In her deep brown eyes

She wants to be saved

I wish I know how to help

I care for her so

But her burden is one

She won't share with those

That try to lighten her load

There's little to escape to

Nowhere to run

A dead end

I tell her it will

All get better in time

I hope and pray

For her sake

Its true
