Namjoon’s POV
Do you guys believe in miracles?
“I’m really sorry Namjoon. I know it’s really sudden but, can you go to K Company’s commemorative service in my behalf this weekend? I need to attend my mother in law’s cousin’s funeral that day.” Mr Jang
I just looked at Mr Jang in disbelief before I respond a sarcastic ‘yeah’.
Lunch
“I’m sorry Jin. Really.”
“Cancelling our plans for this weekend?” Jin
“Yes, my bad. Work came up and I just can’t say no to Mr Jang. Promise, it really is about work.”
“Don’t worry, it’s alright. I understand Namjoon.” Jin
Jin stayed silent for a while before picking his bowl of rice and talked.
“I know that it is the fourth time that we’ve had to postpone our plans, but please don’t be upset about it.” Jin
Our relationship is back to normal. Although to be more precise, we really became boyfriends. For two months. For two fucking months since we’ve been together, how do I put this. We haven’t had any sleep overs!!!
This is the fourth consecutive time that we cancelled our plans. The first time, Jin had to go to his late aunt’s memorial service. The second time, it was the 13th death anniversary of my grandfather from my dad’s side. The third time, it’s our partner company’s 50th founding anniversary.
I really need a miracle. I released a deep sigh.
“W-we can try again next weekend right?” Jin
“That’s true. Next weekend? Are you free on those days?”
“Yeah. I don’t have anything on my schedule.” Jin
“Then next weekend for sure!”
“Huh? Ah, y-yeah.” Jin
We both looked at each other before letting out a small chuckle.
Aaaaaah, can’t next weekend come any faster?
“Namjoon sunbae!”
I looked to see who it was.
“Oh Junyoung. I’m really sorry but I have to work this weekend and I have some plans already for the next weekend. If it’s a mixer or party or something, then I am unavailable.”
“Huh? It’s not something about that.” Junyoung
“Ah, it’s not?”
“I was looking for Jin sunbae but I can’t find him so I just went to you.” Junyoung
“Jin? He went to the data filing room with Sera after we finished lunch. He said he’ll be looking for some documents.”
“Well, I don’t want to disturb him then. But can you give this to him?” Junyoung
Junyoung handed me some folders and a small box.
“With this box too?”
“Yes. The girl from the research department was having a hard time with some of the documents she needed, so Jin sunbae helped her and gave her these documents. She said that the box was just a thank you gift.” Junyoung
I just stared at the box in my hand then to Junyoung
“Jin sunbae may be modest but he’s actually very knowledgeable and passionate about work. This makes him so reliable as well. Then I’ll be going, Mr Jang is sending me to the district branch today. Bye sunbae.” Junyoung
