C. H. H. AIN'T DEAD:

THE HIDDEN GENRE

IT WAS here at last. All the excitement built up throughout the past few days exploded with fireworks. The competition was over promoted as if it was going out of style. The tickets were made affordable for everyone and the event was hosted at the Grand Fortuna Arena.

Decep Records, who cut ties with the celebrity, refused to refund the fans who bought tickets for the North City concert. They swore it was a request done by Nick to make money from an artist that should have been on vacation in the city, not performing. Luke Chase alongside his new sponsors, who couldn't be more prouder to be involved, covered the tickets with a ten percent extra. A token of gratitude.

Social media was the driving force for fans excited about the competition, but no one knew who the judges were. Luke Chase insisted that they only be revealed on the day to encourage fairness. This move met a lot of criticism due to the celebrity's knowledge of the judges, considering he was indirectly involved in the current bribery scandal. Half the contestants were just as top secret as the judges. It was a known fact that Luke Chase hosted the competition, but whether he was in it or not; was another mystery.

The crowd amazed at the opening performance by the group RMG featuring Deraj with a song called, Respect That. The song was old, but the fire was still burning bright. Next was Young Bro featuring KG Santiago with their song, In His Freedom. The dancing vibe was electric. Some fans were being introduced to artists hidden in plain sight, like the genre they represented.

“Let me do the honour of welcoming y'all tonight,” said the MC as he stepped out to a roar, “the name's Datin and y'all know I've been saying it for a while now, but tonight, y'all go see that C.H.H. Ain't Dead!”

Cheers echoed throughout the arena. It was filled with family, fans, critics, Christian artists and secular artists. North City News, Radio and Visuals were given the honour to present it to the world. Tammy respected the agreement made with Luke, and because of it, she was rewarded with a dream come true for her career: a worldwide audience.

“First, before we begin,” Datin glanced over the crowd, “I've been asked by Luke Chase to tell y'all that this competition, C. H. H. Ain’t Dead: The Hidden Genre, is dedicated to the one and only, Mr. Banner, who many may know as Ivan Banner, one of the most respected rap rock artist to date, a legend in his own right!” He let it resonate with the crowd, “These are the direct words of Luke Chase, and I quote, ‘He was a father figure to me and he played a vital role in my life. I will never forget that, nor will I forget his words, ‘Books is more than ink on paper, like Music is more than words, my son. Looks would scare if you could see deeper, like Rubiks’ seem complicated at first . . . until you solve one.’ You will always be in my heart, uncle Banner. Thank you . . .’”

Mrs. Banner's heart melted at the impact her husband had on Luke's life. It was just like the man she fell in love with, always helpful. Chantal comforted her best friend who let out nothing but tears of joy.

“Onto the competition!” announced Datin, “first, many have been waiting to find out who they are. And now that we here, let me introduce our three judges for the night. Let's give a shout out for KB! Eshon Burgundy! and Bizzle!”

The judges walked out to an applause. They were huge artists in the small part of the industry. These guys were respected and most of all, Isaac knew them. This competition would not be rigged. The winner would be rightfully chosen.
