A/N- Above are the character's who will appear in this chapter.
The sun was bright and shining brightly on the snow. The light seamed to be shining only on a oddly colored wolf for who his parents were. Some of the wolves bowed and others spoke his name, 'Blizzard'. Blizzard hung his head low as he walked down from his den. His father walked by his side, his normal angry expression on.
"Raise, your, head, now." Axepaw said through gritted teeth. Blizzard instantly rose his head and staring straight ahead. He lowered his slightly lifted fur and calmed himself. They finally made there way out of the crowd and then made there way through the marketplace. There were few other wolves there so Blizzard relaxed a little and lowered his head.
"Dad, i'm sorr-" he started but he saw the rising hatred in his fathers eyes so he stopped himself. They finally made it to there destination, the den of a young female wolf.
"You will go in there and tell that female to never speak to Ashclaw again." Axepaw looked down at him and growled. Blizzard nodded and slowly entered the den. It was a cozy den and was pretty small. He looked up to see a brown and grey wolf sleeping. ~I don't have to right? I could just pretend like I told her...~ immediately he remembered the last time he lied to his father, Axepaw had killed- he shook out the thought and approached the female.
"Um-hello?" the female instantly perked up, her face exited.
She turned and saw Blizzard, the excitement quickly turned into sadness, "Hey,did your father send you?" Blizzard nodded his head still lowered. The female stood and sighed, "I knew we would get caught. We will stop I promise, I will tell him we can't spe-" she stopped and fought to hold back tears. His father wanted none of his pups to have a mate, he said they would just hold us back.
Blizzard shifted uncomfortably and tucked in his tail, "I'm sorry It's my fault I-"
"No it's not your fault, jus-just go ok.." the female now sat facing the wall. Blizzard frowned and left.
"That was quick, what did you tell her?" Axepaw said as soon as Blizzard appeared.
"I told her that there would, be consequences if she ever talked with Ashclaw ever again." he looked at his father with guilty eyes, hoping his father would believe him. It worked. He nodded and started towards the hunting grounds. Blizzard followed.
They finally made it, they saw Ashclaw there as well smiling. They stayed low behind a few bushes waiting for any sign of prey. Ashclaw shimmied over to Blizzard and nuzzled his cheek.
"Hey bro, how you doing? You seam, stressed more than, well usual." he said quietly his light green eyes glued to the large area of snow.
"I-I don't know..."Blizzard said now laying his head on his paws. Eyes drifting to the side.
"Hey, I know you. Whats wrong, i'm here for you bro." Ashclaw now moved into crouched position. Blizzard also rose as he saw the small herd of deer move in. Blizzard stalked one of the younger ones, slowly getting closer. He saw Ashclaw slowly move with him to his right and Axepaw still laying in the bushes. He took a breath in then, jumped at the young deer.
He grabbed it's leg and held on, pulling i down to the ground. The rest of the deer ran abandoning the young deer. However one buck stayed, he ran antlers first at Blizzard. Blizzard freaked out and let go of the deer retreating to the trees. Ashclaw however distracted the buck while Axepaw finished off the foal. The buck cried out then ran away. Blizzard hung his head low and tucked in his tail as his father approached him.
"Dad I-" his father showed his claws and clawed Blizzard's face. Blizzard fell to the ground and felt his face, two scar marks were bleeding. Ashclaw winced but he did not speak, he knew what the punishment would be.
"You can't even hunt a young deer! You are worthless! You can't talk to people, you never do what I ask... you could never be a Alpha even if you tried!" Axepaw now had his teeth showing, his claws dug deep into the snow. Blizzard still did not speak, instead he curled up into a ball.
"I-..." he closed his mouth again afraid to be hit again.
"Hmf, weakling. Ashclaw lets go." Axepaw trotted off while Ashclaw dragging the deer corpse brushed his tail along Blizzard's back. Their secret signal to meet up. Blizzard stayed in the ball for a while. After he knew his father was gone he stood, the snow beneath him stained red. He opened his mouth to scream out his anger and sadness but a whimpering sound stopped him. He lifted his head to see a all black figure on a nearby cliff side. It seamed to run off, scared of being caught.
"Huh, odd..." Blizzard said as he slowly crept towards the cliff side.
