Poke. I groaned slightly as something poked my forehead. Thinking it was Lily, I lightly swatted at it. Poke. I frowned and rolled over, grumbling quietly as I tried to go back to sleep. "Kyaah!" I screamed as two large arms scooped me, blankets and all, out of the bed. "Damn it Gajeel!" I shouted as he laughed, carrying me out of my room. It had been a month since he brought me home. I was mostly healed, I still needed a brace for my leg but I hardly ever used it and the gash over my eye was little more than a pink scar.
Gajeel set me on one of the kitchen chairs, and I had to fight to untangle myself from the blankets. Once I was free, I caught sight of the breakfast of waffles and eggs set out on the table, making my stomach growl. "Your so awesome! What's the occasion?" I asked jokingly as I dug into the food, I would kill for Gajeels cooking. When Gajeel didn't answer I looked up, and i swear his ears were pink. "Well, it's Saturday and we arnt doing anything. The spring festival is also in town so I figured we could... Go on a date..." by the time he was finished speaking, my face felt as hot as his was red. I swallowed the bite of waffle I had and it took me a minute to find my voice.
"I would love to." Gajeel looked up at me in surprise, and I gave him my biggest smile. He smiled a sweet, almost shy smile that made my heart skip a beat. We finished our breakfast and I hurried to my room, wanting to hunt down the perfect outfit. It suddenly hit me. Me and Gajeel. On a date! My face felt hot as I realized my dream was coming true. I repressed a squeel as I started digging through my closet.
I eventually found a soft pink sundress that just barely reached my knees and left my shoulders bare. I paired it with a white sleeveless vest and white strappy sandals as well as a pink head band. I put a little make up on to cover my scar before grabbing my red bag and going back to the living room. Gajeel was waiting in a pair of jeans and a black v-neck tshirt with an open red button up over it. His own hair was held back by its own red headband.
He can make anything look gorgeous. I thought, blushing slightly. As I approached him I noticed a basket on the table beside him. "What's that?" I asked, making him jump slightly. He looked at me and his ears turned pink. "Uh..." He cleared his throat. "I figured we could go cherry blossom viewing for lunch. So I went ahead and packed it." I smiled and blushed before hugging him tight. "Your so cute!" I giggled. He hugged me back, grumbling about not being cute before he picked up the picnic basket. He gently took my hand and led me out to his car. Seeing the empty parking spot beside it hurt. I need a new car. I mentally shook myself. Worry about that later! I smiled as Gajeel opened the passenger door and I climbed inside.

I climbed into the drivers seat after setting our lunch in the back. I glanced over at Levy before starting the car. She's so damn beautiful. I drove us into town, reaching the festival in no time. We got out of the car leaving our lunch as we headed into the festival stalls. The scent of baked goods, flowers and soft music filled the air. I took Levys tiny hand in mine as we walked, I still couldn't get over the warmth of it.
"What do you want to do first?" I asked, looking down at her. She pursed her lips as she thought, and I couldn't think about how kissable they looking. "There!" She pointed towards a shooting gallery and I grinned. "Just don't cry when I win Shrimp." She puffed out her cheeks before running for the stand, still clutching my hand. The vendor smiled at us, "Hey man, win a prize for the little lady?" He said with a smile. Levy laughed, "Like he could out shoot me!" I growled lightly at her as the vendor laughed. We each picked up a gun and at the bell, we shot. "No!" Levy whined as the time ran out and I won by ten points.
I grinned and pointed out a stuffed panda for a prize before handing it to Levy. She blushed as she shyly took it and I smiled, throwing my arm around her shoulder. We wandered the festival, playing several more games and stopping at various booths. As we left a booth that sold headbands I heard Levys stomach growl. I grinned, "Hungry Shrimp?" Levy pouted but nodded. We went back to the car, trading out our game winnings for the picnic basket. I took her hand again as we eased for the field of cherry blossoms.
We laid out our blanket a ways away from the main crowd before sitting. We ate quietly, Levy leaning against my side as we did. "Remember the first time we came here?" She suddenly asked. I smiled and chuckled, "You mean when your dress got snagged on a tree branch because you decided to climb the tree?" Levy pouted and nodded. "Why?" I asked as I laid back on the blanket with my arms behind my head. She shook her head. "Just curious. This place brings back so many nice memories." She said as she laid beside me. I stretched out my arm so she could use it as a pillow. She smiled and snuggled into my side, laying her arm across me. I was sure she could feel my heart hammering against my chest.
We laid like that for a long time, my hand slowly moving up and down her back. "Gajeel?" "Mm?" I looked down at her. She smiled softly up at me. "Thank you for today." I smiled softly back at her and gently stroked her hair. "Anything for you Lev." She blushed lightly. I gently cupped the nape of her neck as I looked down at her, silently asking. She blushed a bit darker but nodded with a shy smile. I pulled her closer to me gently as I leaned down. She leaned up to meet me half way and our lips met, hers so soft and warm. After a moment we finally pulled apart, both grinning like fools. I rolled onto my back, pulling her with me so she was snuggled into my chest. "I love you Gajeel." I felt my chest swell with warmth. "I love you too... Shrimp." She slapped my chest as I laughed.
