After you went with your father and that time bug, Donald and Della sat in that room, completely torn.
They knew they'd see you again... But when? How soon? How did you not know what time you were born in?
As they sulked, Scrooge walked in. "Lads?"
"Uncle Scrooge? When will we see Y/n again?" Donald asked.
"Well, that's a good question, Donald, but I cannae answer that, now can I?" Scrooge smiled. "But I do know that you'll see 'er soon enough."
The twins smiled. "Thanks Uncle Scrooge."
"Not a problem, now come on! Let's go on an adventure, take our minds offa sad thoughts!"
And Don and Dell followed after their uncle, ready to see you again.
Fast forward a few years, Della laid three eggs. Donald was a proud uncle, as was Scrooge.
Things happened... And ducks misplaced blame.
Donald was sad, absolutely devastated. He did sometimes wonder about you, what you'd say about Della being gone, how sad you'd be... But he didn't dwell on it.
He had 3 boys to raise.
Heuy, Dewey and Louie were a handful, more than, actually. By the age of 10, Donald... Had to face the inevitable.
Donald forgave his uncle in favor of helping out his sister's children.
Later that year, Della was back.
The reunion was amazing.
When Donald and Della were alone, Della grabbed his hand. "Any word on Y/n?"
Donald shook his head. "I'll be honest, I haven't thought that much about her lately. I've been focused on the boys and trying to raise them."
Della smiled. "And you've done a wonderful job."
Skipping more years, the boys started high school. Donald and Della were hoping that soon you'd make friends with them, somehow.
You never did.
...not until today.
"Hey, random question, but... Is there any way that I could meet your mom and Uncle Donald?"
Dewey shrugged. "Yeah sure."
Louie splayed himself out on the couch. "I dunno where they are."
Huey rolled his eyes. "C'mon, Y/n. I'll help you find them."
You followed after him, excitement building. You wanted cry, puke, scream, something.
You rounded a corner with Huey and gasped, seeing them talking. You hid behind a pillar. They... Were old. Not gross old, or even adorable old.
They looked a little tired, but still lively... And what was Donald wearing? You tried keeping the snicker to yourself, but Huey side glanced you. "Hey, why're you hiding?"
"Sh-"
"Huey?" You heard Donald call for him. "What're you doing, bud?"
"We have a guest, Uncle Donald."
"Really? Where are they?" Della asked, she sounded so excited.
Huey looked at you and you sighed. You inched your way out from behind the pillar. You looked up at the two, embarrassed. "H-hi guys."
"Y/n?" Della croaked.
Donald's jaw was touching the ground.
"Hey Don. Hey Dell... It's been a while, huh? Well for me it's not even been a day, heh... I'm still really tired from staying up all nig-!" Della pulled you into a bone crushing hug, Donald not far behind.
